It’s hard to believe we are closing the door for 2017. In my case – I’m slamming that mother shut. See ya never, 2017! For all the ups and downs this year has provided us, I wanted to stop and take a minute to recap our year. I did this for the first time last year (read more here: 2016 In Review) and I loved being able to reflect back on the year as a whole and remember all the amazing moments in one special place. So – I’m back again this year with our 2017 by the numbers!
2017 In Numbers
2 – Number of houses lived in. We sold our first house and moved into a rental. It’s not ideal but it’s safe and the dogs have a nice yard to play in. Plus, right by the water and a beautiful running trail – winning! We know it’s not our forever home and that makes going from owning back to renting slightly more bearable.
Our first house was featured on Apartment Therapy! You can check it out here.
219 – Blog posts written. Holy cow! This year has been filled with travels, food and whole lot of Hawaiian adventures.
Some of the most popular posts this year included:
Some of my favorites from this year included:
7 trips taken this year and (roughly) 52,998 miles per person. CRAZY! It was definitely a year chock full of being on the go and we loved it. We got to see friends and family, celebrate a graduation, two weddings and so much more. Our trip highlights included:
26.2 – Miles ran to complete my first marathon! More here: Holy Shit! I Ran A Marathon
Things I can’t quite get a true count on include: number of beautiful sunsets enjoyed, beach trips with Judy + Bill, days spent packing + unpacking boxes for the move we did entirely by ourselves, hours devoted to scouring the internet for cheap airfare, pounds of makeup thrown away after discovering a box I never knew I had…from 5 years ago, trips to the vet for two pups with insane allergies, time spent laughing til I cried alongside Dane, hours spent people watching at airports, happy hour trips to some of our favorite haunts or joy I get from coming here each day and sharing a small piece of my life with all of you.
Here’s to hoping 2018 is the best year yet. Happy New Year!
