First of all, let’s all take a moment to think about those affected by Hurricane Sandy. I spent the majority of my summers as a kid on the Jersey Shore (yes I shuddered a bit when forecasters were talking about the “Jersey Coast”), and I’m heartbroken to see the devastation. In any case, there are so many people still without power, without food, and without running water up and down the Northeast. Take a minute to donate to the Red Cross, clean out your closet and donate some things you just aren’t quite in love with anymore, or give time to relief efforts if you’re in the area. Every little bit helps and I am personally shipping a box off this morning to those in need.
(L to R) You would think I would have learned my lesson on the colored jeans after the fiasco in the Target dressing room. But oh no, I saw these polka dotted wonders in Old Navy and was convinced I needed them. Well, aside from the fact that I would be matching every 4 year old in town, they remained in the store.
These sparkly boys now belong to me.
Just when you start to lose faith in humanity, a friend sends you a box of “pick me ups” in the mail. Thanks Kaci–you made my week 🙂
Now for a random assortment from the past week that I was too lazy to post before now think you’ll like.
(Top to Bottom)
I think Skype dates with Dane are often the highlight of my week. As of today, 39 days until I’m picking him up from the airport (not that I’m counting down on a dry-erase board or anything…)
My mom is supremely awesome. This falls under “Scenes from my Friday”
And Maddie the ballerina…come on. Could she be cuter?
And finally, I cringed a little when I saw Taylor Swift on the December issue of Cosmo. I mean, I can’t escape her. She grew up on a Christmas tree farm an hour from my house, that “Never, Ever” song is on every radio station, and don’t even get me started on the video…In any case, I bit the bullet and read her interview. And tucked between her love advice (I had to stifle my laughter), I found this little morsel and knew it was a keeper.
