We've got a birthday over here

Being the ~~diligent~~ neurotic blogger that I am and knowing Dane was going to be home, I had all of this week’s posts pre-set and planned. And then Sandy Hook happened, my whole schedule got thrown for a loop, and I knew there was no way I wasn’t going to show my support in tomorrow’s blogger day of silence. Normally this wouldn’t be a problem, except tomorrow is a really important day and I couldn’t go without recognizing it here on the blog.

~~Today~~ Tomorrow is Dane’s birthday and there is no one more excited about this than I am. Well I guess except for him, but really that is slightly arguable as I begin counting down to the next birthday the very next day after I celebrate one. He’s more of a go-with-the-flow, let’s enjoy the now type guy. I love birthdays and any occasion to celebrate, really. Call that what you must, but I call it a good time.

And don’t even get me started on those of us who are ~~plagued~~ lucky enough to have “holiday season” birthdays. Mine isn’t nearly as bad, because it’s in January. But by that time people are so burnt out from holiday…everything..since, I don’t know, October..that they throw some shaz in a leftover Christmas bag and call it a miracle they actually remembered.

But let’s all have a moment of silence for those with December birthdays. I’m sorry. Really. YOUR BIRTHDAY IS SPECIAL AND IT SHOULD NOT BE OVERLOOKED BECAUSE OF A HOLIDAY!

Now that we have that out of the way…I’ve got some bottles to pop…err who am I kidding..I’ll be too busy with that cake.
