Dirty Bit

I really don’t know why Dirty Bit is the title of this. Probably because the original title was Friday Bits, which reminded me of Dirty Bit and THIS WEDDING VIDEO, which I am more than a little obsessed with (if you couldn’t tell). It takes a hot second for it to load, but use that second to grab a drink.

And now that you know this is a bunch of random bits, I realize I probably should have done Shanna‘s random Wednesday link-up, but alas here we are on Friday and so there’s that. While we’re speaking of Shanna, have you voted for her yet for Wallis’ Blogger Ambassador? Here’s the skinny, Wallis is coming to a continental U.S. near you and they’re on the hunt for a blogging ambassador. I really couldn’t think of a better (or sweeter!) person than Shanna, so go get your vote on. It takes all of 2 seconds. Yesterday I spent a lovely morning with a home contractor and I’ve never
been more excited for a house full of noise in my life. We FINALLY got a
working sink and by golly, it’s the most beautiful thing I’ve ever
seen. In house terms, of course.

 Speaking of homes, I spend my days counting down the minutes until Dane gets home, we workout, cook dinner, and plant ourselves on the couch watching episodes of Scandal. We’re late (by a season and some) to the part, but ohmygahhh WE ARE OBSESSED. Anyone else? #OliviaPopeForPresident

With all of the red lines on Facebook, Twitter, and beyond this week, I’d like to take this time to add my stance. Yes, I’m a Republican and yes, I support gay marriage. Pick your jaw up off the floor.

I may not be homosexual, but I have plenty of friends who are and me telling them who they can and cannot devote their own life to would be like me dictating where you are allowed to send your child to school. And for every Christian wagging their finger at me saying that the Bible states being gay is “wrong”, it also denounces divorce, pre-marital sex, tattoos, and eating pigs (among other things). So, if you’re going to use the Bible to “back up” your stance, you darn well better be practicing everything else it states, too.
