Did everyone have a good weekend? I sure was ready for it after last week. Bombs in Boston, Explosions in West, Texas & flooding in the MidWest. I was pretty sure last week couldn’t get much worse.
I mean for crying out loud, in the midst of all of this, we have
CNN’s Wolf Blitzer holding up a pressure cooker for the American public
to get a visual on what the bombers were working with at the Marathon.
Side-eye to YOU, CNN, what are you doing?
But then Friday while I was out to dinner, I heard Suspect #2 was captured on a boat. Sweet relief. Oh, so stealthy, a boat, I thought.
…And then I heard it had been on land. Parked.
I refuse to give these brothers any more attention than they are already getting. They are undeserving and cruel. But I saw this on Taylor’s blog last week and I couldn’t help but re-post.
When the going gets tough, the tough get going.
Knock us down and we’re just going to get right back up.
We’re Americans.
Love that girl, her blog, and this country.
I only wish Americans could be this patriotic all of the time and not just when we’re faced with a crisis. My heart goes out to everyone who has been impacted by the depths of the tragedies Americans were faced with last week.

Moving right along, this is a huge week for me. HUGE. And while I don’t normally talk work on the blog, I’ll be in NYC for an entire week and it may or may not involve the NFL Draft and a culinary food festival. Excited is probably an understatement. As is blessed. And grateful. I am all of the above, AND THEN SOME. Stay tuned for updates.
Just a final note, a BIG BIG thank you for all the prayers after Friday’s post. We could feel the love from afar and it is SO appreciated!
What’s your week lookin’ like?
