Thinking about writing the beginning line of a blog post always seems to be the hardest part for me. It kind of gives me anxiety (along with about 45 other things), so that’s another blog post for another day…
Now that’s we’ve gotten past the hardest part, let’s just dive right in with a little dose of Random Wednesday with Shanna.
1. Bridesmaid dresses have been on my mind and I’ve been a pinning fool. I mean, I think I MIGHT have pinned the same picture 3 times when I went to reevaluate my wedding board on Pinterest. Only confirms to me that I must really love the idea of floor-length, neutral blush bridesmaid dresses, right?
2. I’m blogging about gifts for the modern groom today over on Culture Home by Tanja Ellis. You can check it out here.
3. I am nothing short of obsessed with my new Sea Bag. What in the heck is a Sea Bag? Well, I’m so glad you asked. While shopping in Waikiki one day with Dane, I kept seeing these amazing white beach bags with nautical designs on them. I knew I must have one for my very own, because when I go to the beach/pool/anywhere, I am physically incapable of taking anything less than the kitchen sink. By the time you get your keys, towel, book, magazine, phone, headphones, and water bottle (not to mention any snacks or sunscreen!), you’ve got yourself a nice little menagerie of things to tote around.
Oh hello you beautiful thing! |
I am hell on bags. I use them until they are worn to shreds, so finding quality pieces is always important to me and I don’t mind paying extra because I know I will use the thing to death. (ie: the Kate Spade wallet I got in 10th grade that is so worn the color is fading…I don’t care, I love that thing!)
I thought it was really cool that Sea Bags are made from 100% recycled sails AND 100% in the USA. Namely, Maine. Lobster and tote bags, don’t mind if I do…But really, I love being able to support homegrown companies…and look at that metallic star. I MEAN REALLY…stop it. You are so cute.
Watch out you cute little change purses, I’m coming for you next.
4. Hi handsome. You’re doing big things and I’m so proud, but I miss you, so let’s fast forward through time, mmmk?
5. Wednesday is the new Friday in terms of happy hour, right? Right. Here’s the most delicious drink ever and just in time for happy spring weather. Ew, I did not mean for that to rhyme. Sorry. Really.
What is better than a margarita? Nothing A Pink Lemonade Margarita.
You will need:
- 1 (12 ounce) can of frozen pink lemonade concentrate (make sure it’s a little thawed out)
- 3 (12 ounce) cans of cold water – (you can use the empty can!)
- 1 (12 ounce) can of tequila — (note: tequila DOES NOT COME IN A CAN. Yes, I thought at first this meant buy a can of tequila. No, it means fill the empty concentrate can. Um…oops.)
- ½ (12 ounce) can of Grand Marnier
Now, mix all of this goodness together and chill it in the refrigerator OR blend it with some ice and enjoy.
Happy Wednesday!
