Because last week Dane told me that this upcoming weekend he’s taking me on a surprise trip. I’ve only been told what time our flight leaves on Friday morning and to pack plenty of swimsuits. Squeal! Any guesses?
In the meantime, let’s take a peek at our weekend, shall we?
Friday we joined some friends for drinks at the Disney Resort, Aulani, and I’ve never been one to fawn over a $15 mojito simply because it had Mickey’s stamp of approval, but it was good to see everyone nonetheless.
Saturday we woke up
bright and early at 10 which felt amazing. After a week’s worth of 4am, 10 felt a little bit like noon and we loved every second. Saturday we shopped, shopped, and shopped some more.
New flippers for diving.
A wreath got hung.
I’ve been lusting over these woven baskets from Target for awhile to organize our oversized bathroom counter. And what do you do when they go on clearance? You buy them in every size. The two smaller sizes are not pictured here.
And we topped it all off with some froyo. A very necessary nightcap in my humble opinion.
Sunday Dane cooked southwestern omelettes (with mimosas, of course) before we headed out to swim with sea turtles.
No, your mind is not playing tricks on you. I said sea turtles. Friends of ours found this spot that has somehow not been discovered by the dive boats that is where a colony of sea turtles hangs out. We got there and swam with them for about 40 minutes which was so incredible. Seeing them so close was pretty surreal. Of course, there was no camera to be found and my iPhone wasn’t interested in swimming, but you can enjoy this beautiful shot courtesy of Dane.
How was your weekend?
