#FallFestBrunch & Drinks!

Beauty · October 14, 2013 · 8 Comments

Happy Monday, everyone!

If anyone followed my Instagram this weekend, you may have noticed an influx of foodie photos on Sunday…
Clean eating, I was not.
My mom and I hosted a FallFest Brunch and following some of the posted photos I was getting comments, e-mails & texts for recipes–THANK YOU I’M FLATTERED. (So is my mom, because, well, I learn from the absolute best there is.) I decided to host #FallFestBrunch all over again on my blog this week, so get ready for food, food & more food. Recipes galore! #yourewelcome
*sidenote: no apostrophes in hashtags really annoys me

Please note: a fabulously set table is an absolute must for #FallFestBrunch. My mom knocks it out of the park each and every time!

And what better way to start off a party than with some drinks? We met our guests at the door with a glass of sparkling raspberry-tini champagne. Now let me just tell you that it sounds kitsch-y, but it was delicious! Throw a couple of fresh cranberries in there and you’ve got yourself the easiest faux-fancy drink around. Not pictured, because let’s face it, three swigs of champs and it’s gone.

Next up? Spiced Cranberry Cider!

You Will Need:
5 cups cranberry juice
5 cups apple cider
1 tsp. ground ginger
1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp. ground allspice
cinnamon sticks, optional

1. Combine ingredients in a large pot on your stove and bring to a boil.
2. Reduce heat and let simmer for 5 minutes, uncovered.
3. Serve with optional cinnamon sticks for stirring.

Tomorrow: Appetizers!
