Happy Wedding Wednesday!
It’s been awhile since I’ve had an installment of this around these parts, so I figured an update was most certainly in order. For awhile I was feeling really bummed about having to cancel, so I wouldn’t let myself get excited about our wedding until I had more concrete details.
When we picked our new date, I felt excited, but part of me was too afraid to get OVERLY excited again, because a tiny voice inside of me didn’t want to be disappointed yet again.
But now? 10 months out? I’m excited. More than excited, to be honest. Pouring myself into planning has taken my mind off Dane being away…at least a little bit.
Long distance wedding prep 🙂 |
Dress? Check.
Church and Reception Venue? Check.
Cake? Check.
Bridesmaid gifts? Check. (I’d love to share but some of them may be reading!)
Save-the-Dates? Check. Yes I sent them out VERY early. Long story short, our wedding is the same weekend as the largest car show in the Northeast and no hotel blocks are available. Go figure. I will prevail!
First wedding gift? Triple check!
This week month we’re crossing off flowers, a rehearsal dinner venue and hopefully a dress for my beautiful momma 🙂 Have to jam planning into the few precious times that I’m actually in PA–and try not to forget all the little details!
And speaking of details, check out my brand new pillowcases from Kendra at So Vintage Chic.
They are made out of 100% linen and are going to be the perfect addition to our new house (have I even blogged about that yet?!). Either way, this was THE HAPPIEST mail I came home to from Italy. The quality is amazing and I love that the larger pillows have a zipper closure on the bottom so that there isn’t any awkward puckering in the back. Kendra was SO easy to work with and she let me customize my font! When I told her how excited I was and how much I loved her pillows, she offered to give one of my readers a custom set of their own! I mean, could she be sweeter?
One of you will have the opportunity to win this set!
