Gold Galore

Gold, Glitter & Glam

That’s pretty much the theme of my wedding in a nutshell, so if you’re coming, I hope you’re prepared.

Actually, I retract that, because upon re-reading my opening line–this is what comes to mind.

No, just no. So much no.
What I’m getting at is that you should expect to see a lot of gold accents at my wedding and that I’m pretty excited about it. But unfortunately, it seems I am incapable of portraying that in word form here on le blog today, which is unfortunate on all accounts, so let’s just try photos.
When I started planning the wedding, I had visions of this dancing in my Pinterest-y head for seating cards.

I loved the idea of re-doing an old frame and pinning up each guest’s name and table number to a board. It had a fun, DIY vibe to it that I loved. 1 frame, 1 can of spray paint, 2 rolls of wire, 10 screws and a dad later—this is what we’re working with.
I will not sit here and pretend like I did this myself. In fact, I will not pretend like I even did half unless you include supervising and throwing in my very uneducated handy-man opinion on where the screws should go. However, I did find and spray paint the cutest mini clothespins so that certainly counts for something. Up next is finding the perfect name cards to hang from these (perfectly measured) wires.
And just because I had my bridal hair trial and LOVED it, I’ll give you this sneak peek. Yes I went to Target afterward and yes I took a photo to send to my bridesmaids. They also got up-close versions, but those will have to wait until the big day for these here blog space.

Happy Wedding Wednesday brides-to-be (and everyone else, too)!
