Best Ribs Ever–100% Guy Approved

Eat, Food · February 25, 2014 · 10 Comments

Does your significant other ever come to you with a recipe that they’re just dying to try? Maybe it’s because Dane and I are total foodies, but this happens all the time. Recently, he was telling me about a recipe for ribs he saw in a magazine and was dying to try.
I’m always skeptical when it comes to ribs, because I never know if they’re going to be too spicy, not tender enough, etc.
These are hands down the best ribs I’ve ever eaten…sorry, Mom–I promise yours are still delicious, too!
Cream Soda Braised Ribs with Chipotle Captain Morgan Glaze

You Will Need:

2 Racks of Ribs
2 tbs. paprika
2 cups brown sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
2 tbs. ginger
1 tsp. allspice
4 shots of Captain Morgan Black Spiced Rum
1 can cream soda

1. Make sure ribs are thawed/fresh and preheat oven to 375.
2. Mix together paprika, brown sugar, cinnamon, ginger & allspice.
3. Rub all over racks of ribs.
4. Pour cream soda and shots of Captain Morgan on top of ribs.
5. Place in a roasting pan and cook in oven for 2.5 hours.

In the meantime, mix up the chipotle barbeque sauce.
You Will Need:
2 cups BBQ sauce (we used Honey flavor)
1 tbs. honey
2 tbs. Captain Morgan Black Spiced Rum
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1/2 cup orange juice

*store in refrigerator while your ribs cook

DISCLAIMER: Your house will smell amazing and your dog will go nuts thinking it’s for them.

After 2.5 hours, remove ribs from oven and put on the grill for 15 minutes at medium heat. Braise with the chipotle sauce mixture and serve.

The meat will be so tender and fall right off the bone! So delicious and SO worth the wait 🙂
