Life has been good lately and sometimes when things go this way, I get worried about when things are going to go poorly. Maybe it’s just a mentality I have about karma and life being good–like if it seems too good to be true, it probably is. Or if things are going really good for awhile, it only means things are about to take a catastrophic turn for the worse. Am I alone in this sick mindset?
For now, the good keeps getting better and it deserves a happiness list…a bit of celebration, if you will.
1. I love writing letters. Love notes, hello notes, thank you notes–all sorts of notes and for anyone. When I was little, I used to write to celebrity fan clubs that I would find on my child AOL account. The passion runs deep, friends. Lately, I’m loving my customized Minted stationery.

Why yes, I do love to write my notes in Sharpie. Any color will do, but this pink is my favorite. |
Plus, it has a glittery backside and that is what dreams are made of.
In my dream world, I would write letters all day, create customized cards for all holidays and occasions (specifically ones that include my beautiful dog) and send them to all my favorite people. Hey Minted, can you hook a sister up?
2. Fuji Apple Salad with Smoked Salmon.
On Monday night, Dane announced he was going to cook dinner and I could spend my time from 5-6 doing something else. SWEET! He presented me with Fuji Apple Salad with Smoked Salmon and Feta (his words, not mine) and it was freaking amazing. So simple and so easy, but oh-em-gee so delicious! I love meals like that!
3. I’m dying to try this recipe I found for cake waffles with frosting for when MY MAID OF HONOR COMES TO VISIT IN A LITTLE OVER A WEEK! Oh crap, can you tell I’m excited? A full glorious week of fun and I really cannot wait. Hawaii is gorgeous and beautiful and amazing…but I have low points where I miss my family and friends. It’s going to be so good for my soul.
And of course, these two make me happy on a continual basis just by being in my life 🙂
What’s making you happy this Wednesday?
