the bedroom is where the magic happens

Beauty · April 10, 2014 · 7 Comments

I bet you were all completely convinced I had dropped off on my Hawaii: Home Tours series. I kind of thought I had to–but here’s the truth: I spend more time cleaning this house than I do actually sitting in it and admiring all of the nice decorating work we’ve done. That being said, capturing photos where our home doesn’t look like a tornado has ripped through it are few and far between. Thankfully, I was able to snap a few of our bedroom in between loads of laundry, Judy murdering a stuffed toy and unmade beds. Are you ready?

For the curious souls, our bed is Pottery Barn, our dresser, nightstands and mirror are Ikea & the lamps are from Target (on clearance!).

Sheets, Duvet & Duvet cover are all Hotel Collection and can be found at Macy’s—> here

Most days, the dog is not included!

Hamper is Crate & Barrel –> here

And just because I’d like to give you true insight into how we typically operate over here–THIS is how our bedside lamps looked for about two weeks while we determined whether or not we wanted to keep them.

The verdict ended up being “yes, we will keep them”, because they really make the light gold frames above our bed stand out, but good luck getting the entire room in one viewfinder. On the side we have two walk-in closets (his & hers) and a bathroom. More on those at a later date 😉

And just to make it seem like you’re really in bed with us, we have about 3 Bath & Body Works Eucalyptus Mint plug-ins throughout the room. So there you have it, our master bedroom! I hope to have more of our house posted soon, but no promises 😉
