f is for friday

Once upon a time in blogland, there was a link-up called Friday Letters, and if that’s not straightforward enough for you–you basically wrote letters to intangible objects like Friday, the annoying sickness you’ve had all week and so on…

Well guess who’s back, back again…that’s right, the letters. No, not the link-up. I don’t have the brain cells nor tech support to host a link-up, but thank you to anyone who thought that’s what I was about to say.

Dear Hawaii: I have such a love/hate relationship with you. Sometimes I really just want to be able to get in my car and drive around without worrying about how much gas costs, how much traffic there will be and how much time I’m wasting. On the flip side, I love seeing the beach out my window. So thank you. One day, I know I’m going to miss you.

Dear Judy: You sexy little sass monster. I am so proud of you for being so smart and I’ve been a total crazy dog lady all week about your new-found skills on ALL FORMS OF SOCIAL MEDIA. I am going to be honest and tell you that when we first got you and you peed on my floor every 15.6 seconds, I had my doubts. But you, fine lady, are well on your way to helping Wounded Warriors. (more on that at a later date!)

Dear Costco: I love it when you have the sunflower seed gluten-free bread, so if you could work on keeping that stocked I’d be a much happier camper.

Dear Hungry People: Do you love quick and easy snacks? There’s no picture, but I whipped up some fresh salsa the other night for fish tacos (yes we had them 3 times in one week–BACK OFF) and it was so good I told Dane I wanted to make it more frequently.

1 can of black beans, washed and drained
1 can of corn, washed and drained
chopped red onion
chopped red pepper
salt, pepper, cilantro, oregano

Serve with tortilla chips and oh-my-lanta, it’s a taste explosion.
