…that’s the only way I can describe the past 5 days.
we hopped on a plane to orlando, florida last thursday night and flew back early this morning. why such a short trip? a family wedding! weddings are always so much fun and dane and I both knew this is one we wouldn’t want to miss.
we arrived just in time for the rehearsal dinner on friday at a beautiful italian restaurant near the hotel we were staying in. it was so good to catch up with my in-laws while imbibing on hand selected wines.
in hindsight, I should have spent a lot more time eating and a lot less time drinking. the next thing I knew, I was in a night club having my first shot of fireball (because it was free) and after that I found myself in the hotel lobby bar sloshing back bourbon and diets with dane and his aunt.
the next day was rough, but we pulled ourselves together quite nicely for the wedding.
the wedding was INSANELY GORGEOUS. that’s really the only was I can describe it. it was such a magical evening–the love between the bride & groom was tangible, the venue was picturesque & there was a huge dessert bar.
we had originally planned to leave orlando on sunday, but the thought of getting back on a plane in less than 48 hours really rubbed us the wrong way–so we extended two days! we did every touristy activity you might imagine–disney world, medieval times dinner, an ice bar…and what every hawaii resident dreams about–CHIPOTLE!
it was such a great trip and I’m already counting down to our next mainland trip, but coming home to #judyhanson was such a great feeling. follow along on instagram to see other trip snapshots!
