DIY Gift Tags

Life, Lifestyle · November 25, 2014 · 3 Comments

I don’t know about you, but I love a good DIY. Yesterday was what I would equate to the perfect fall day–well, as close to perfect as I’m going to get here in Hawaii. The trade winds were actually blowing on the west side (Crazy, I know!) and I was so happy to be able to sit with my windows open and get my craft on.

DIY Gift Tags

The concept is easy–gift tags. But try going to Target and wrapping your mind around $8.00 for a 6 pack. Yeah, I couldn’t. So, I decided to make my own. Thankfully today marks 1 month until Christmas, so you’ve got plenty of time!

You Will Need:
–green paint chips
–twine
–a pencil
–scissors

So easy, right?!

1. In order to make the trees, I chose green paint chips, BUT! The very best part about these tags is that you can create whatever design you want–some blue snowflakes, red Santa hats, etc. You’re only limited by your own creativity!

2. Use your pencil to draw the outline of your shape.

3. Use your scissors to cut.

4. Voila! You have your shape. Poke a hole through the top & use twine to make a loop for attaching to packages.

There you have it, the world’s easiest tutorial…and money saver! You’re welcome.
