You know those weekends that you never want to end, because you just want to keep enjoying the goodness surrounding you? That was me this weekend. Dane was finally home and we were able to just “be”. It was awesome and I think sometimes it takes him being away for me to realize just how much I depend on him, which is not fair. I am making a more conscious effort these days to enjoy the loveliness of doing nothing together. Read that as finally getting a chance to watch House of Cards, Season 3!
Saturday we had the opportunity to go out on our friends’ new boat! We were so excited to see our friends and enjoy time relaxing. Plus, their boat is very fun and we’ve never been to Oahu’s sandbar. Unfortunately, the weather was less than cooperative, but it was so nice to eat, relax and hang out in each other’s company.
Later that night we headed downtown to a going away party for our friends at Bevy. No pictures were taken, because it’s awkward as heck to lug around a DSLR in a clutch…who knew.
Thanks to late-night Wendy’s, I spent the majority of Sunday morning sick as a dog. That place never ceases to amaze me in the getting sick department, but for whatever reason I always go back for more. We spent the rest of our day cleaning the house, lounging around and watching more HOC.
My favorites around the web…
This PSA from South Africa’s Salvation Army is EVERYTHING. #TheDress might have been the most obnoxious thing on the internet, but this right here is marketing power.
And while we’re on the topic of organizations doing the right thing, I love that Operation Smile is restoring smiles in kids internationally by performing cleft lip surgeries. Through the help of medical volunteers (YES, that’s right–people VOLUNTEERING!..love that!), over 220,000 surgeries have been completed since 1982.
Taylor’s 18 Old Lady Habits had be nodding my head repeatedly. Maybe I have the tendencies of an older generation, but ask me if I care…
Ashley’s Love List gets me every. single. week. Where this lovely lady finds all these things that I MUST HAVE THIS MINUTE, I’m not entirely sure, but I don’t hate it. Last week was no exception…
And I’d be totally remiss in not mentioning that Baseball Lacelets’ Kickstarter is still going strong! Check ‘er out HERE!
What are you loving lately? How was your weekend?
