The other week Sam did a post that I just loved. You know how that happens? You’re browsing your blog reader and BAM! A post just hits you. That’s how Sam’s post was for me. If you’re wondering, I’m about to copy it right here and now. Don’t worry, I already asked if it was okay 😉
I’ve never posted this photo on my blog before, so I’ll start here… |
Things I’ve Never Done…
Jumped out of an airplane. Even though my husband does it for a living, I have no desire to jump out of a perfectly sound aircraft.
Had a baby. I think once you get married, people just innately want to know when you’re going to start reproducing. I’m not sure if it’s a lack of interest in other parts of your life, a loss of what else to ask, OR WHAT. The answer is we aren’t in a good place to have a baby right now and for the time being we want to be selfish with our time and money.
Traveled in a hot air balloon. I think it would be amazing to watch the sunset in a hot air balloon, don’t you? I, of course, can only visualize this via Google images and Pinterest, but it’s definitely on my bucket list. The rational part of my knows I’d have to be medicated to allow for it to happen, because I’m terrified of heights, but who knows? It could be awesome.
Run a marathon. I never even ran more than a mile before last May when I decided I should get in shape for our wedding. We were supposed to compete in a triathlon this spring, but the Army had other plans for us. Love that. In any case, a marathon or a triathlon are still on my bucket list!
Read the whole Bible. I know some people who have read it multiple times and I always have a pang of jealousy about this. I have a daily devotional that I really love, but I want to read front to back at some point!
Lived on my own. I don’t count living with someone, but out of my parent’s house living alone. Ever since college, I’ve always had a roommate and now–husband! I’ve stayed alone before, of course, but never had a place of my own. In a way, I feel kind of cheated about this, because of my fierce independent streak, but I would not have my life any other way.
Went on a total shopping binge. I always go into shopping after I’ve looked at my most recent bank statement. I love to shop, but I was raised on the concept of knowing your boundaries and never over spending. Here’s another fun fact: I’ve never had a credit card. I’m TERRIFIED over going into debt, so I like to keep myself in check. Don’t get me wrong, I work hard and play harder, but I don’t play so hard I have to eat Ramen for a week.
What have you never done?
