Awhile back, I posted about having a hard time getting into Lianne Moriarty’s Big Little Lies. Well, I finally made my way through it and let me tell you friends–you NEED to put this on your “To Read” list.

I’m not going to fib you, getting into it was hard. I struggled with the various character perspectives and going back and forth tripped me up, especially because I tend to read before bed when I’m already pretty tired. HOWEVER! Once you get a couple chapters in, things get juicy and I didn’t want to put it down!
The book begins with a police interrogation for a murder and works its way back to months prior. In the very end you DO find out who was lying, who got murdered, who did the murdering and why–so don’t think that you’re going to be pissed when it’s over!
In the midst of all this, there are definitely huge plot turns, revelations of character and, of course, lies. What good would that title be if there wasn’t some lying? Eh?
Overall, I really enjoyed this book. It’s the perfect thrilling, gossipy type novel you’d want to pack for a trip, a rainy afternoon or like me–digest in increments before bed each night for a couple weeks 😉
I’m currently reading “Dark Places” by Gillian Flynn and up next is “Girl On The Train”, but we’re taking a big trip this summer and I need some reading recommendations!
What are you reading? Do you love it? What is on your “Must Read” list?
