Life Lately

Whenever I scroll through my phone photos, I always realize that I should truly be doing a better job of cataloging our life and keeping things updated. What better way than a life lately post?! Especially on a Monday, am I right?

Let’s get right to it!

For starters, my mom flew into town on Friday and we have been soaking up our time together. Isn’t it amazing what spending time with family can do for the soul? It was truly a gift to be able to spend Mother’s Day together! And because we’ve been too busy loving life, I have no special shots to share. Here’s one of my favorite EVER photos of us 🙂

Last week I also got a sweet new pair of specks from Firmoo. I went with a trendier, larger pair and every selfie I tried to take for you all was SCARY, so you’re welcome for not posting it, but they look like this:

If you’ve never heard of Firmoo before, they are an online glasses boutique. I rather enjoy the idea of not having to leave my house to try on glasses, what about you? I think what I like more are the reasonable prices. If you’re blind in need of extra help in the sight department like I am, check them out! 

Next up, this:

It’s an ice cream biscuit and you need it in your life. All you need is a biscuit, honey, ice cream and a waffle maker. Cut a biscuit in two, put a scoop of ice cream on one side, drizzle honey on the other, put it back together and stick it in your waffle maker. Voila! Instant amazing. ENJOY THIS AND YOU’RE WELCOME.

We’ve been spending a lot of free time at the beach…and using our selfie stick. I am shameless!

I nearly forgot about these little pockets of deliciousness, but Jen brought me homemade beignets two weeks ago and we may or may not have made them our dinner. #eatdessertfirst
