Traveling In & Around Chiang Mai, Thailand

Around the World, Thailand, Travel · July 28, 2015 · 3 Comments

If you’re new to our Thailand travels, start here. I was flipping through our Thailand photos (for the 1,000th time) and realized that a whole bunch of Chiang Mai photos never got shared! Like I’ve said in my post about our day at Patara Elephant Farm or our day at Thai Farm Cooking School — Chiang Mai was a DREAM! If we ever live in Thailand, we will be moving there. In any case, when we weren’t playing with elephants or tigers, or spending the day cooking — we walked all around the city, saw gorgeous temples and explored the markets. I have to admit, looking back at all these photos is so nostalgic and I’m already planning our next trip! If you are in the process of planning a vacation to Thailand, you MUST add Chiang Mai to the itinerary 🙂

I don’t think I will get over how adorable and perfectly calm the wild dogs around town are. They sleep, trot, play and somehow (miraculously) stay out of traffic. It was mind-blowing to me!In & Around Chiang Mai, Thailand - Chiangmai - Traveling To Thailand - Traveling to Thailand on a budget - Thailand Photos - Chiangmai hotels - Thailand itinerary - Thailand travel for couples - Thailand honeymoon In & Around Chiang Mai, Thailand - Chiangmai - Traveling To Thailand - Traveling to Thailand on a budget - Thailand Photos - Chiangmai hotels - Thailand itinerary - Thailand travel for couples - Thailand honeymoon In & Around Chiang Mai, Thailand - Chiangmai - Traveling To Thailand - Traveling to Thailand on a budget - Thailand Photos - Chiangmai hotels - Thailand itinerary - Thailand travel for couples - Thailand honeymoon In & Around Chiang Mai, Thailand - Chiangmai - Traveling To Thailand - Traveling to Thailand on a budget - Thailand Photos - Chiangmai hotels - Thailand itinerary - Thailand travel for couples - Thailand honeymoon In & Around Chiang Mai, Thailand - Chiangmai - Traveling To Thailand - Traveling to Thailand on a budget - Thailand Photos - Chiangmai hotels - Thailand itinerary - Thailand travel for couples - Thailand honeymoon In & Around Chiang Mai, Thailand - Chiangmai - Traveling To Thailand - Traveling to Thailand on a budget - Thailand Photos - Chiangmai hotels - Thailand itinerary - Thailand travel for couples - Thailand honeymoon In & Around Chiang Mai, Thailand - Chiangmai - Traveling To Thailand - Traveling to Thailand on a budget - Thailand Photos - Chiangmai hotels - Thailand itinerary - Thailand travel for couples - Thailand honeymoon In & Around Chiang Mai, Thailand - Chiangmai - Traveling To Thailand - Traveling to Thailand on a budget - Thailand Photos - Chiangmai hotels - Thailand itinerary - Thailand travel for couples - Thailand honeymoon

At first, I was a little unnerved about taking off my shoes (germs), but honestly, it was such a peaceful experience, I didn’t even think twice about it after a few minutes. Also to note – you can get your laundry done in Thailand so easily! It’s inexpensive, reliable and comes back smelling absolutely delicious…not to mention every single thing is folded! In & Around Chiang Mai, Thailand - Chiangmai - Traveling To Thailand - Traveling to Thailand on a budget - Thailand Photos - Chiangmai hotels - Thailand itinerary - Thailand travel for couples - Thailand honeymoon In & Around Chiang Mai, Thailand - Chiangmai - Traveling To Thailand - Traveling to Thailand on a budget - Thailand Photos - Chiangmai hotels - Thailand itinerary - Thailand travel for couples - Thailand honeymoon In & Around Chiang Mai, Thailand - Chiangmai - Traveling To Thailand - Traveling to Thailand on a budget - Thailand Photos - Chiangmai hotels - Thailand itinerary - Thailand travel for couples - Thailand honeymoon In & Around Chiang Mai, Thailand - Chiangmai - Traveling To Thailand - Traveling to Thailand on a budget - Thailand Photos - Chiangmai hotels - Thailand itinerary - Thailand travel for couples - Thailand honeymoon In & Around Chiang Mai, Thailand - Chiangmai - Traveling To Thailand - Traveling to Thailand on a budget - Thailand Photos - Chiangmai hotels - Thailand itinerary - Thailand travel for couples - Thailand honeymoon In & Around Chiang Mai, Thailand - Chiangmai - Traveling To Thailand - Traveling to Thailand on a budget - Thailand Photos - Chiangmai hotels - Thailand itinerary - Thailand travel for couples - Thailand honeymoon In & Around Chiang Mai, Thailand - Chiangmai - Traveling To Thailand - Traveling to Thailand on a budget - Thailand Photos - Chiangmai hotels - Thailand itinerary - Thailand travel for couples - Thailand honeymoon In & Around Chiang Mai, Thailand - Chiangmai - Traveling To Thailand - Traveling to Thailand on a budget - Thailand Photos - Chiangmai hotels - Thailand itinerary - Thailand travel for couples - Thailand honeymoon In & Around Chiang Mai, Thailand - Chiangmai - Traveling To Thailand - Traveling to Thailand on a budget - Thailand Photos - Chiangmai hotels - Thailand itinerary - Thailand travel for couples - Thailand honeymoon

One of the highlights of Chiang Mai was the night market – there were so many incredible finds and each night, we were totally dazzled by the sights and sounds, not to mention the abundance of delicious food and colorful wares. In & Around Chiang Mai, Thailand - Chiangmai - Traveling To Thailand - Traveling to Thailand on a budget - Thailand Photos - Chiangmai hotels - Thailand itinerary - Thailand travel for couples - Thailand honeymoon In & Around Chiang Mai, Thailand - Chiangmai - Traveling To Thailand - Traveling to Thailand on a budget - Thailand Photos - Chiangmai hotels - Thailand itinerary - Thailand travel for couples - Thailand honeymoon In & Around Chiang Mai, Thailand - Chiangmai - Traveling To Thailand - Traveling to Thailand on a budget - Thailand Photos - Chiangmai hotels - Thailand itinerary - Thailand travel for couples - Thailand honeymoon In & Around Chiang Mai, Thailand - Chiangmai - Traveling To Thailand - Traveling to Thailand on a budget - Thailand Photos - Chiangmai hotels - Thailand itinerary - Thailand travel for couples - Thailand honeymoon In & Around Chiang Mai, Thailand - Chiangmai - Traveling To Thailand - Traveling to Thailand on a budget - Thailand Photos - Chiangmai hotels - Thailand itinerary - Thailand travel for couples - Thailand honeymoon

We had an incredible couples experience at the Fah Lanna Spa. It was affordable and relaxing (and this coming from a person who doesn’t particularly like spa treatments!). I would highly recommend it.
