What I'm Loving - July Edition

I feel like so much is going on in our life that I never get a chance to stop and enjoy all the things I’m loving right now. Does anyone else feel that way? Sometimes life feels incredibly overwhelming — so let’s get on with the good, shall we?

Amazon Prime Day — was anyone else counting down to this day like I was? As soon as I learned that Prime users were going to get a day of crazy-good discounts, I was ALL IN. I’ve had my eye on a couple new things and being in Hawaii, I got to start shopping last night at 9PM! Finally, I’ve got the time difference working in my favor 😉

Groupon — Raise your hand if you’ve ever cashed in on a great deal from Groupon. I’m raising mine right now, because I just got this sweet canvas deal, recognizing my dream of getting ALL THE PHOTO CANVASES. All of this is neither here nor there, because when I was browsing for said canvas, I realized that Groupon now does Groupon Coupons. Try saying that five times fast. Basically, it’s a no purchase required promo code you can use at some of your favorite stores. Considering our love for travel, I loved seeing that Expedia and Cheap-o Air were among the participating “stores”. Did anyone else know about this?!

Reading — Okay, this is the one time in my life where I have been forcing myself to decompress by reading in bed each night. It has done wonders for my mind and it’s light years better than scrolling through my phone. I just finished Summer House with Swimming Pool by Herman Koch as part of my partnership with Blogging for Books. I have to be honest — it wasn’t my favorite. The book moves pretty quickly, but other reviews stated that it was a Gone Girl type of book and I didn’t get that vibe at all. Sick and twisted? Yes. Gone Girl award-winning? No. It’s a fast summer read if you’re in the market for one of those and it certainly keeps you hooked, but I wouldn’t compare it to Gillian Flynn’s writing. I will say, however, that Koch’s “The Dinner” is FABULOUS!
