Happy September, everyone! I thought a fun way to kick off this month (and stay true to continuing my own fitness challenges!) would be to challenge all my fitness-inspired readers to a squat-off this month. If you follow along with me using this calendar, you will have done nearly 3,500 (3,425 to be exact!) squats and 250 in a single day — WHOA!
September Squat Challenge
I know it seems incredibly daunting. I’ve been on the front end of one of these challenges before (push-ups) and I thought there was no way I would be able to do it. The key is to stay consistent and make sure to get it in every single say. *shameless TWSS joke here* In any case, break up each day’s set into smaller, “bite-sized” pieces. My typical day includes 100 squats. I do my first 25 while I’m brushing my teeth — I’m still half asleep so they seem to go by pretty quickly! I do my next 25 mid-morning or around lunch time, usually just to stretch from sitting at my desk so long! The next 25 are while I’m cooking dinner and my final 25 are while brushing my teeth again before bed. BOOM! 100 squats. Just like that.
