I was so excited when Gelish MINI reached out with a handy solution — an at-home gel manicure kit. Oh hello, gorgeous!
If you’re not familiar with gel nail polish, it stays on your nails up to three weeks without chipping or scratching like regular nail polish. I love going to the salon and getting manicures, but those bills add up and it definitely doesn’t always fall into the necessity category. I was so excited to bust open my new kit and get to work!

I honestly had a hard time choosing which one I wanted to start with, but I ultimately went with Man of the Moment for both my toes and nails.
The directions were very simple and easy to follow. They even supply you with the tools to clean up your nails before you get to painting!
When you have everything filed and shaped to your liking and your cuticles have been pushed back, it’s time to get to work. Gelish MINI’s kit supplies you with a surface cleanser to use pre and post painting.
Unlike other kits I’ve seen, they also supply you with the necessary solution to remove gel nails.

I used the supplied polishes in the recommended order, plus my color choice, along with the curing light to get my desired look on both my hands and toes.
I have to be honest — I was really intimidated by this whole process. Was it really worth skipping the $75 mani/pedi at the salon that I had come to look forward to?!
The verdict is absolutely without-a-doubt…
YES!
Even with multiple steps, the entire process for both hands and feet took me 37 minutes. Yep, I timed it. If I’m being honest, it probably wouldn’t have even taken that long, but I was very anal about not getting a single drop of the under or top coats on my skin.
If I’m being even more honest, I didn’t take pictures as I went. These photos were taken 11 DAYS post mani and yep, they still look DAMN good! I am here to tell you that I love Gelish MINI, their products and everything about this kit. I don’t think I’ll need to be spending any more of my precious dollars at the salon knowing I can get this quality at home!
