Happy Monday, everyone! Today is definitely one of those days where there is not enough coffee in the world for me. What about you?
I don’t know about any of you, but one of my biggest pet peeves is ordering an iced coffee and it being filled to the brim with ice — only to melt later and water down my coffee. Living in Hawaii — the struggle is real! I always say “please don’t put a lot of ice in it”, because I want to make sure I’m getting what I paid for!
Thankfully, I’m here today with the best way to avoid this problem altogether and it’s making your own iced drink before you leave the house.
But Kait, how does this solve my watered down coffee problem?
DIY Pumpkin Spice Creamer Cubes and Mocha Orange Ice Cubes to the rescue!
All you’ll need for this handy life hack is International Delight Mocha Iced Coffee, International Delight Pumpkin Pie Spice Creamer, juice from an orange or orange rind and an ice cube tray. Seriously — it’s that simple!
To get started, get an empty ice cube tray and fill 6 holes with International Delight Pumpkin Pie Spice Creamer. In a bowl, mix together 1 cup International Delight Mocha Iced Coffee and 1 cup of juice from an orange (not to be confused with orange juice!). If you’re using orange rind, mix 2 cups International Delight Mocha with 2 tbsp. orange rind. Fill the remaining holes of the ice cube tray with the mocha mix. Pop your tray in the freezer overnight and your cubes will be ready in the morning!
These creamer cubes are great for adding ice AND your creamer to your iced coffee. |
If I want a little something extra for my iced coffee, I turn to my Mocha Orange Cubes. The added zing of orange flavoring is absolutely delicious! Not to mention, it’s great for the holidays! |
With holiday get togethers coming up, setting up an iced coffee bar at my house is a no-brainer. It’s a great way to welcome guests and have them create a delicious drink to sip while you chit chat, exchange gifts or nibble cookies 🙂
Setting it up is super simple, too. Grab your favorite flavors of International Delight Iced Coffee and Creamer, your pre-made cubes, some festive straws, whipped cream and any toppings you may have on hand to allow friends to really get creative.
Do you drink iced coffee? If so, what’s your favorite flavor?
