I love weekends where I feel like I’ve run a marathon AND kept my house clean. I didn’t really do either of those things, but you get what I’m saying, right? Anyway…
We had a jam packed weekend and I wouldn’t have it any other way. When we realized we had around 4 months left in Hawaii, we made a vow to make the most of our free time and so far, so good.
Friday we stayed in, made a stuffed crust pizza and enjoyed some hard cider, craft beer and Fuller House. We only watched one episode, but considering it was a childhood favorite for both of us — we couldn’t resist! Our stuffed crust pizza was, hands down, the best part of the night thanks to Cup4Cup and a little creative cheese engineering. Sidenote: Why did I never think to make stuffed crust in a springform pan before now?! We ended up going to bed at 7:45, because we are party animals old.
Our early bedtime proved to be helpful, because we woke up at 3AM Saturday morning with just enough time to feed the dogs and head out on a hike we’ve been wanting to do for quite some time now!
More photos and details coming up later this week 🙂 After the hike, we grabbed breakfast at our favorite local spot which was offering Kalua Pork Eggs Benedict. We asked for a double order without the muffins and inhaled the entire thing!
They added avo — so damn good! |
The dogs were NOT HAPPY they missed a fun family hike, so we wrangled them up and enjoyed a beach afternoon together.
We also managed to get our first family selfie — win!
Sunday was more of the same — exercise, breakfast, beach, rinse, wash, repeat…you see where this is going. Overall, another great weekend in the books!
And now, some links you positively cannot live without…
Adele’s Carpool Karaoke is a must watch. Her voice is downright incredible!
Kelsey’s post on being a stay-at-home-mom is perfect. I know nothing of mothering, but I love the her quote “Motherhood isn’t one size fits all.”
This dog was hit 13 times by a train and IS STILL ALIVE. Bless…
All I have to say is that I wish I was driving around in central California when this unicorn got loose…
A friend of mine gave me the recipe for these Mediterranean Baked Sweet Potatoes and I can’t wait to make them later this week!
How was your weekend? What are you loving lately?
