Hi, Hello, Hey! Happy February!
Me before coffee |
This weekend Bill finally had all of his shots and we were able to take him to the beach (and other adventures) for the first time. To say I was excited to see his reaction to water would be an understatement. He all but attacks me face first when I try to take a shower, so I couldn’t want to see what he did when a whole beach was at his mercy. He (and Judy) did not disappoint.
Can you see the excitement? |
The rest of our weekend was spent checking out some new bars in Waikiki, trying a couple dinner recipes at home and prepping ourselves for a long week ahead.
And if you’re seeking out some good internet reads, don’t miss:
21 Tweets About Makeup That Will Make You Laugh (any of my makeup loving tribe will appreciate these!)
10 Valentine Treats That Beat A Box of Chocolates (shameless plug for my own writing)
Establishing A Peace Accord Between Parents and Their Childless Friends (this should be required reading I loved it so much)
I also recently made this recipe from the NY Times for dinner and it was a fan favorite at my house! I don’t have kids to please, only a husband, but I highly recommend it for everyone.
And speaking of food, I also make cheese taco shells. No paleo, but freaking awesome. I’ll leave it at that.
And last, but certainly not least, I tempted you all with promises of a pizza boat last week, so here we go! Grab a day old baguette, hollow that puppy out, fill with sauce, top with cheese and bake for 15-20 minutes or until cheese is gooey enough to your liking.
Serve it with your favorite bottle of wine and be sure to remind your husband how much money you’re saving by having a fancy date at home so he doesn’t mind when you splurge on new shoes later that night.
How was your weekend? What are you loving lately?
