Aloha, Nordstrom!

Beauty, Fashion · March 11, 2016 · 7 Comments

If you follow me on Snapchat (Which you should! @KaitSawyer), you know that on Monday I had the opportunity to tour the new Nordstrom at Ala Moana Center. Of course, we already had a Nordstrom here on island, but it’s new home in the Ewa Wing expansion of Ala Moana is Ah-Mazing.

For those of you not familiar, Ala Moana is the largest shopping mall in Hawaii and the seventh largest in the United States. See also: MY PLAYGROUND!

The official re-opening is tomorrow morning, so to mark the occasion I figured I would share my photos from the sneak peek. Features new and exclusive to Nordstrom Hawaii include:

Habitant Lounge and Bar – Yes, you read correctly…A BAR! Touché, Nordstrom. Not just a tiny corner, either. A full blown bar with couches and places to re-charge your accessories.

At Home – A full home decor section for all your stylish accent pieces!

Complimentary Wi-Fi
Phone Charging Stations
– Drop your phone in a locker and get a charge while you finish up your shopping. I am seriously in love with this detail!

Ruscello Restaurant – An incredible sit-down restaurant at the top of the store with an impressive menu and beverages. We got to sample pizza, poké, tacos, shredded pork on sweet rolls, white bread pudding and more. It was freaking amazing and I’m already looking forward to swinging by there for a fun girl’s brunch!

Trend Accessories – I’m so damn excited about this part! When it’s time to be fashionable, I don’t always have my Prada budget in tow, ya feel me? The Trend Accessories department allows you to pick up trendy pieces at a more reasonable price tag. CHA CHING!

Another detail that Nordstrom’s buying team incorporated into the store was local Hawaiian designers. I LOVE this, because supporting local is so beneficial to the community. Some of the swimwear and accessories pictured below are local Hawaiian artists.
Now if you excuse me, I have some shopping (and eating) to do!
Happy weekend 🙂
