Hiking In Hawaii: Pele’s Chair | Oahu, Hawaii

 On Monday, I mentioned that we checked another Oahu hike off our list. Woohoo! We conquered Pele’s Chair, a short and sweet little hike around Makapuu that offers an amazing view of the sunrise! Read on to learn more and see some fun photos, plus sharing a little bit about my love for a certain workout apparel brand 🙂

 

We visited Pele’s Chair early last Saturday morning and it was absolutely beautiful. We are those people that find the most obscure hikes on Instagram and try to conquer them. When Dane showed me this “chair” high atop a mountain, I was all in. We like to spice things up whenever possible so we also decided to tackle this beast in the dark so we could watch the sunrise. To get here, go to the Makapuu Lighthouse trailhead and instead of taking the trail, head down the dirt path to the chair.

Oh heck yes! This sunrise was fantastic and totally worth mounting a nature made throne.

In my own mind, this was also a great opportunity to test out my newest workout gear from Onzie. I was testing out their new Slit Capri and Triangle Bra, after I fell in love with their printed capris a few years back.

I was nervous all the cutouts wouldn’t give me the compression I like in workout capris, but I could not have been more wrong. As you can see from the photos, mounting this chair was no easy feat. My Onzie gear kept everything in place and the capris didn’t roll down, which I sometimes encounter with workout apparel. Another win, Onzie!
