Our Weekend + Best Of The Internet

Whew! This weekend was truly one I have been looking forward to. Why? Because we had a full Saturday with absolutely no plans! Well, no official plans, anyway. We knew we wanted to get out of the house and explore with the dogs, but more on that in a minute.

Friday was spent with good friends of ours at a pupu potluck. We all brought heavy appetizers, our favorite bottle of wine and it was a great night spent catching up and laughing until our stomachs hurt. We have been really lucky here in Hawaii to meet some absolutely incredible people!

Saturday we slept in and it was SO NICE. As in, I’m struggling to find the words for how nice it was because it never happens. Dane and the dogs served me breakfast in bed (gluten free peanut butter waffles), before we all headed out on a very muddy and windy hike.

It was Bill’s very first time hiking, so we weren’t sure how he would do. Turns out, he totally dominated it and loved every second!

Sunday we woke up early, because we were off to enjoy/dominate Breakout Waikiki — more on that coming tomorrow! Let me just say it was freaking fantastic.

Because neither of us have our mommas here with us on island, we enjoyed a morning of adventuring in downtown Honolulu. We discovered a new favorite coffee shop & enjoyed moms and mimosas at our friend’s shop, Sugarcane. We finished off the day by taking some photos for friends who are getting ready to leave the island.
