First of all, I wanted to take a minute to say thank you to everyone who reached out. I got messages from so many of you sending good vibes, saying something similar has happened and just overall being so thoughtful and positive. It really meant a lot to me. And for those that said not to let myself be bullied into forgoing something I love so much — here I am. I will be much more cautious about what makes it onto this space, but I do want to continue building relationships here. Some of my favorite posts to put together are the ones where I get to
show snippets of our daily life and highlight what I’ve been loving
lately, so what better way to hop back into blogging
than that?

This week, I head on one last trip before heading back to Hawaii and my heart is heavy saying “see you later” to my parents and friends on the mainland. This has, without a doubt, been one of the best summers ever and it’s safe to say I’m returning to the islands with a full tank of love.
Over Labor Day, our family went up to Penn State for the home opener football game. It’s the first game I’ve been able to go to in way too long and it was Dane’s first time! #virginnolonger
We also got together with some of our family friends for an amazing brunch that ended up lasting 5 hours. I suppose when you have a million courses that works out okay 😉
We’ve also gotten to experience some beautiful PA sunsets!
And it’s officially apple season, so we’ve been enjoying lots of treasures courtesy of my mom’s fantastic cooking skills!

Making veggies spiralized is my new favorite thing. We got the Paderno Spiralizer and I’ll be honest — I’m a lot more inclined to eat more veggies raw with them being in these cute little curly-ques. I know it sounds ridiculous, but you can make so many things with it!
And now, what I’m loving around the web…
Erica recently painted the outside of her house and I don’t know if it’s my inner Joanna Gaines talking or what, but it never ceases to amaze me how much paint can totally change up a look!
And on the same topic of fixing up houses..
Kelsey recently wrote about loving Vintage Revivals and since we are in the process of fixing up and decorating a new house — I’m hooked now, too! These Copper Peg Shelves practically have me salivating.
These 13 Vegetarian Recipes Everyone Can Get On Board With from The Everygirl has me wanting to get into my kitchen ASAP!
