Happy February!
Can you believe it’s almost Valentine’s Day already? I’ll be honest – I feel like 2017 is already flying by! If you’re gifting your favorite gal pal, significant other or co-worker, I’ve got a full list of all this year’s best Valentine’s Day gifts and goodies…including a little something for the pets in your life. Take a peek 🙂
Guys: Whether you’re gifting your best guy friend or your husband, you absolutely can’t go wrong with a classy bourbon decanter or the Moscow Mule Carry-On Cocktail. Truthfully, the Carry On Cocktail (more varieties here) would be good for anyone! I also know that I want one for myself for some upcoming trips we have…hm.. #makesnotetoself Still in the friend zone? A leather-bound notebook or beer centric candy should do the trick!
Gals: If you’re going jewelry for the serious lady in your life, consider a trendy, yet classic timepiece from Shinola. We are big fans of this Detroit-based company! I’m here to tell anyone reading that tends toward the scandalous lingerie they put on sale this time of year…don’t waste your cash. I’m serious – leave those tacky rhinestones and glitter for the craft store. Invest in some Hanky Panky undergarments for the lady in your life. Comfortable, Sexy and Classic – you can’t go wrong. Plus, the colors and styles are pretty much endless! If she’s still on the friends list, consider heart-shape ramekins from Le Creuset or a fun cookbook like this one that is all about nachos! Who wouldn’t love that?
For Anyone: Who says you have to stick with chocolates? I’m of the mentality that liquor-inspired candy or fresh ground coffee (Ka’u is my fave!) is way more fun! For a fun wrapping idea, put that coffee in one of Hydro Flask’s new 32oz. tumblers to make sure they always have something to drink it in 😉 And if you’re low on cash, but high on heart be sure to check out the assortment of “Fill In The Love” books from Knock Knock or create a fun heart-shaped photo collage over at Minted.com.
For The Pooch: If you’re spending the holiday with your favorite four-legged friend, be sure to treat him/her with some SmartBones, a delicious (Judy & Bill’s word, not mine) rawhide-free treat.
We don’t have any solid plans for this year yet, but I’m not above takeout Thai and some Netflix binging. I’d almost rather spend the night in and hit up a great place on an alternate night. It’s like New Year’s Eve – the people that never, ever go out hit the town and you’re faced with rude service and mediocre food.
How are you celebrating Valentine’s Day this year? A casual night in or a swanky night out?
