It’s the most wonderful time of the year! And while I know that so many of us are hustling around wrapping things up (in pretty bows) for the upcoming holidays, I wanted to stop and take some time to talk about all the blog posts and articles I’ve read this year that have really struck a chord with me. The internet is a big, big place and sometimes the amount of information I consume on a daily and weekly basis is staggering. I’m a self-professed news junkie so I tend to dive head first into any headline (news-based or not) that grabs my attention. I will also be the first to admit that in a rapidly expanding blogging community (is everyone a blogger these days or is that just my own personal feeling?) I feel like there is a lot less creativity than there once was, so standing out is impressive. Today I’m sharing blog posts I’ve loved this year, so feel free to stick around if you’re interested 🙂
Blog Posts I’ve Loved This Year
Andrea from Salty Canary is a food + lifestyle blogger that embodies all things colorful and she’s about to be a mom to TWINS! In March she shared her Ultimate Palm Springs Travel Guide and it only ignited my desire to go visit even more. It’s a beautiful collection of imagery and tips that is like a virtual vacation.
Gaby from What’s Gaby Cooking is one of my very favorite food bloggers to follow because she always shares ATTAINABLE recipes. You know what I mean – things you can actually make because you already have the ingredients and you don’t need to head to any specialty stores to get your hands on things. Her Cauliflower Alfredo Pasta is what dreams are freaking made of.
Alex from Munchkins and the Military is a mom of 3 and lifestyle blogger….and one of the bloggers I’ve actually met in real life! She lived in Hawaii when I met her and before she moved to Kentucky she shared this post on 5 kid friendly Oahu beaches, which I think could be majorly helpful for anyone visiting or moving here!
Anne of Anne in Residence is a stylish lifestyle blogger who doubles as an editor by day and fashionista/decorator/baker/ALL THE THINGS by night. Seriously – I think she does it all. This spring she adventured to Malta and her photos left me planning my own trip.
Laura from Sequins at Breakfast is a Hawaii-based fashion blogger (but soon she’s leaving me for San Diego…so sad!) that always comes up with the most delicious recipes. This Ginger Mint Soda is delicious and super refreshing, especially on a hot Hawaiian day.
Chelsea from Making Home Base is a home decor blogger that never ceases to amaze me with her eye for design. She leans toward minimalist design in shades of neutral and blue, which fits the coastal theme of her home beautifully. She shared this post on 10 Tips For Decorating A Rental Home and I loved every bit of it!
Kelsey from Pardon My French is a fashion and style blogger and mom of 4 that calls Georgia home. This fall, she detailed, in a heartbreakingly poignant post, her breast cancer diagnosis and some tips for doing your own checks. It’s one I read with tears streaming down my face.
Erica over at Whimsical September is a family + lifestyle blogger who has really grown to be a very good friend of mine. She and I share a passion for storytelling, so it’s no surprise that her blog is one of my favorites to read every morning. In this post, she detailed the homecoming of her husband, Jamie, from a deployment and the combination of Christmas magic and a family reunited made my heart burst.
