Is it spring yet? I keep seeing photos of snow all over the mainland and we are slowly creeping out of the rainy doldrums of winter here on Oahu, so in my mind – LET THERE BE SPRING! Of course it’s relatively warm here all year, but the recent influx of cooler temps and me wearing jeans has me craving fun dresses, skirts and slides. Lucky for me, the retail bus is coming through with designs I can’t get enough of. BEEP BEEP – ALL ABOARD! Scallops, basket bags and slides…oh my!
My Spring Style Wishlist
Circle Bag – I went to an event two weeks ago and my friend Katherine was carrying this bag and I found myself oogling it all night. It’s the perfect size for both errands or poolside/oceanside and it has such a fun spring and summer element. For the price, you can’t beat it!
High Rise White Jeans – I have sung the praises of these jeans for a few months now, so picking them up in white for spring and summer is a no brainer to me. You can read more about my love for them here.
Scalloped Shorts – I bought a pair of these last year and I was shocked by how much I liked them. The best perk? The scallops don’t flip up against my muscular thighs and they aren’t tight – a total win! Shorts can be a gamble for me, so these were a pleasant surprise and I will be stocking up on a few new pairs this season!
Free People Bralette – I know this bralette is all over the internet and for so long I couldn’t figure out why. But you guys – I get it now. I stalled on getting my hands on one, because I thought to myself “How could it really be?” It’s good and now I’m trying to decide what color I want to get next. I already have white and I know black would be so logical, but I can’t get the teal out of my mind. It’s so pretty!
Brixton Hat – I ordered this hat for our trips to Tahiti and Italy after a major hat fail last summer that ended in me crying my head was too big. I don’t know if I ever blogged about that, but it’s history and not important at this point. THIS HAT IS PERFECTION!
Soludos Slides – Who doesn’t want a little “bows on your toes” action? I think these are chic enough to be dressed up, but casual to be dressed up or down. Does that even make sense? I hope so, because they’re so dang cute. Plus, you can always count on Soludos to be tops in the comfort department.
Large Basket Tote With White Poms – I have seen this bag a few times around Honolulu and each time I see it, I stop and stare. It’s nothing crazy fancy or over-the-top, but it certainly makes a fun statement and is subtle enough to carry around town or fun enough to load up for vacation. I will warn you – I had a little bit of sticker shock, but sometimes when I keep seeing something I like I don’t mind the splurge.
Scalloped Camisole – I’ve seen these scalloped camis previously, but usually in just white or black, so this subtle grey of this one caught my eye. It’s a basic piece, but still fun enough to pair with white jeans or a pair of shorts and some slides or wedges.
