Looking for new bloggers to follow? Here are the best blogs to follow in every niche!
Hello, hello! How are we doing? Today I wanted to share a post I’ve been working on for awhile with the best blogs to follow in every niche. I know sometimes blog reading can be overwhelming and then you get to the point where you’re like – I need some new blogs to read! Or — what was the name of that home design blog?
Hopefully my post today will give you some new reads to enjoy. Here are all my favorite blogs to read in just about every niche. I’ve broken it down by category so they’re easier to spot 🙂 Of course, this is not a comprehensive list (not sure that is even possible with the amount of bloggers there are today?!), it’s just a few of my favorites that I have found and loved over the years. Happy reading!
Best Blogs To Follow In Every Niche
BEST HOME DESIGN/DECOR BLOGS
Making Home Base -A Florida-based mom of two with an eye for crisp lines and blue hues, Chelsea’s home is a coastal oasis. She lives by the mantra of decorating her home with lots of love and throw pillows!
Coco Kelley – A website written and produced by Cassandra, Coco Kelley was founded by the idea of to curate and create fresh ideas for a well-styled life. From interiors, parties and tabletops to travel, food and fashion — her home design posts remain my favorite!
Mr. Kate – Kate is a self-taught interior designer that began in the jewelry industry. I love, love, love her whimsical designs and just general happiness!
BEST PARENTING BLOGS
Enjoying The Small Things – I think Kelle’s might be the first blog I ever read routinely! She is a teacher turned mom, turned author and advocate and both her blog + Instagram feed are a wealth of knowledgeable morsels to chew on — kids or no kids!
BEST FASHION BLOGS
Pardon My French – The thing about Kelsey, the stylist behind the blog, is that she isn’t hawking pieces as they come in and out of style – she owns what she loves and simply shows everyone else how to rock it. She’s a mom of 4, breast cancer ass-kicker and just genuinely good person.
Pink Lou Lou – Allison’s blog was another one of the first blogs I ever read. Somewhere along the line, she took a 4 year hiatus, but SHE IS BACK! Truly, she could be in the beauty or lifestyle category too, but I love her fashion tips for brides and beyond!
Sequins At Breakfast – Laura is a friend of mine who used to live in Hawaii and while I was SO SAD to see her go, seeing her thrive in California makes my heart soar. Laura is an amazing cook, mom to Miles and a beautiful soul inside + out — something that shines in whatever cute outfit she is sharing. Her style is SPOT ON – coastal casual meets chic.
BEST LIFESTYLE BLOGS
The Girl Who Loved To Write – Chelsea is a writer, mom and all-around badass who lives in Florida and is perpetually chasing sunlight + good vibes. She’s a good friend and an even more compelling blogger — the type that keeps you coming back day after day.
Hello Happiness – I’ve followed Natasha since I think before she even had her second little girl! She is all of my favorite things rolled into one – funny, colorful + sassy. You can expect lots of photos of her little girls, cute outfit ideas and snaps from inside her mega colorful new home!
Salty Canary – I met Andrea at the BlogHer conference a few summers back and we were fast friends. I can chat with her about anything and I know that she will listen, give sound advice and probably make me laugh. While I was initially drawn in her her out-of-this-world milkshakes, she also talks about the road to having her two beautiful twins, home renovations and fun party ideas.
Anne In Residence – Anne is a fellow writer, traveler and mom to the most adorable little boy. She is always restyling clothes she already has in her closet, diving head first into a Pinterest-inspired project or creating a capsule wardrobe for her next trip!
Sparkles + Lattes – I discovered Danielle’s blog through a link-up I did and have been an avid reader ever since. The first thing that caught my eye is how much her husband resembles Aaron Rodgers and that her twin girls are DARLING!
Medicine + Manicures – I discovered Kristina’s blog when I found her on Instagram’s discover page one day and I’m so happy I clicked over. I love her travel guides and home tour posts the most, but her whole blog is beautiful and she always makes me smile.
BEST PHOTOGRAPHY BLOGS
Savannah Smith – I went to college with Savannah and her heart is as bright and happy as her photos. I love keeping up with her flourishing photography business, cute pup, family and travels. She shares all of her photography clients as well as snapshots of her beautiful life!
Fair Travelogue – Lauren Fair and her husband Tim are professional photographers who specialize in beautiful weddings (they shot two of my friends!) and share all of their “off the clock” adventures on their travel blog.
So Shay – Shalyn Nelson is a breath of fresh air on both her blog (posts are somewhat sporadic but always amazing) and Instagram. She is honest, thoughtful and funny and always manages to capture amazing emotion in a single photo. I love her heart!
BEST FINANCE BLOGS
Becoming Bailey – I “met” Bailey through a military spouse link-up awhile ago and I’ve been transfixed by her financial posts ever since. She shares amazing information about budgeting, getting out of debt and more. Her blog is a fantastic resource for all things money-related, particularly if you are in the military!
Skye McLain – I don’t know how or when I met Skye, but she’s one of those bloggers I’ve followed for years. In addition to being a pastor’s wife in Texas, she is completely transparent about being in debt, getting out of debt and keeping her family out of debt. I am nothing short of amazed by her free resources!
Making Sense of Cents – I’ve followed Michelle since the beginning of blogging time (is that a phrase? LOL) and seeing the life she and her husband have built together is nothing short of astonishing! Seriously! She makes over a million dollars per year and shares every detail on her finance-based blog.
BEST MILITARY BLOGS
Three Little Ferns – Alex is the creator behind “Three Little Ferns” (some of you may recognize her as Munchkins + The Military!) – She is an Army wife and mom to 3 girls and blogs frequently about day-to-day life in the military.
Soldier’s Wife, Crazy Life – An entire blog dedicated to support for the military spouse, Julie is married to a National Guard soldier and mom to 3 boys. Her posts are thoughtful, humorous and most of all – helpful!
Humans On The Homefront – Unlike other military blogs, Humans on the Homefront tells the stories of the friends and family that soldiers often leave behind and some of them will absolutely wreck you (this is your warning). I met the founder of this incredible blog and she is just as genuine as the stories she shares.
Loving Life Moore – Melissa is a bright spot on the internet for so many reasons, but I love how candid she is on her blog about life in the military, navigating life as a mom of 2 (soon to be 3!) and yearning for that sense of community that can hard with moving so frequently.
And Then We Laughed – Karen is one of those bloggers that just makes you feel good when you read her content. An incredible writer, each post wraps you up into a story and you feel like you’re living life right beside her. In addition to her two human children, she also has a chocolate Lab, which I think is how we originally bonded 😉
BEST BEAUTY BLOGS
Caroline Hirons – Okay, let me just preface this by saying that once you discover Caroline, you will come out of her blog about 4 days later, because it’s a big, big hole to crawl into and THRIVE IN. She is a certified aesthetician and skincare expert and gives the most thorough reviews of anyone I’ve ever read.
Lisa Eldridge – I first discovered Lisa for her videos (just being honest!) and then dove head first into her blog. You won’t be disappointed, because she offers everything from celebrity looks to everyday looks to wedding looks….and makes it all seem attainable!
A Clean Slate – Courtney is my friend from college and she launched into the world of clean beauty after her mom was diagnosed with cancer 6 months ago. She began researching toxins and realized they are EVERYWHERE, so she created a blog that is dedicated to sharing clean finds in the beauty realm, as well as other areas of life.
Flourish Living – Some of you might recognize my friend Caroline Potter for her amazing cookbook, but as the new mother of the most adorable little girl, she has transitioned her blog from predominantly food into more of a wellness hub and I am loving it. She talks about taking care of yourself (beauty, food, fitness, mental health, etc), so that you can truly flourish in life.
BEST FITNESS BLOGS
Glow Body PT – Anyone who has been around for a little while knows how much I love Ashley and her 8-minute workouts. Her “blog” is actually a YouTube channel and it’s a metropolis of ass-kicking wonder. Do yourself a favor and start with her diastasis recti ab workout and thank me later! Also – they’re FREE!
Marathons + Dog Tags – Jen is a dear friend and someone I have followed for years. While she doesn’t always blog about fitness, I included her here, because she is one of my fitness motivators! It’s hard not to be inspired by her consistent dedication to running! She’s also a military spouse with a super cute family 🙂
BEST TRAVEL BLOGS
Katie Show Blog – I discovered Katie when she lived here in Hawaii, but have been an avid follower since. I love her, because she shows the real side of travel. It isn’t always pretty or glamorous! She’s also super funny and makes incredible videos of the cool places she visits.
Where To, Peanut? – I discovered Nicole when she was traveling through Maui, because her photos are breathtaking. Turns out – her blog is even better! A San Fran dweller, she captures the world effortlessly both on Instagram + her blog.
BEST FOOD BLOGS
What’s Gaby Cooking – I met Gaby at BlogHer a few summers ago and it was love at first bite. No, but seriously, she is just as personable in person as she is on the internet and her recipes do not disappoint! Her Instagram feed is drool-inducing + I love that her recipes never require 1,000 steps and ingredients I can’t pronounce.
Salty Seattle – Okay so admittedly, this is more about a delicious Instagram feed and less about a blog, but Linda DOES have a book coming out! Her colorful (and naturally dyed) pasta is what dreams are made of. When she whipped up pasta that resembled the Handmaids Tale I nearly lost it. Seriously – her work brightens my day!
BEST DESIGN BLOGS
Old Brand New – Dabito is a blogger, photographer, artist, décor guru, tastemaker, passionate vintage hunter, and lover of all things design. By lover of all things design, I mean that his eye for detail is second to none and his entire aesthetic is eye candy.
One Fine Day – It’s in the details, darling should be Ashley’s mantra, because her eye for design is limitless in the realm of home decor, fashion and style. She understands color and everything she does – from shopping to styling has pizazz. Her blog is a treat for the eyes and her wit is just icing on the cake.
La Dolce Vita – Paloma Contreras launched La Dolce Vita in 2007 and her Houston interior design business followed as reader interest in her style grew. Paloma has honed her distinct eye for style through nearly a decade in the design industry and a lifetime of appreciating beauty in all of its various forms.
BEST HAWAII BLOGS
Lava Dogs Hawaii – Rhonda is a friend of mine from when we first moved here. I think we bonded immediately over our love of Labradors. She runs the most amazing blog for pet owners in Hawaii that talks about all the best dog friendly adventures you can take on the Big Island!
WanderlustStyle – Maryrose and Reid are the Hawaii-based creatives behind Wanderluststyle, an adventure blog that takes them all across the world.
Wander Hour – Katherine is a photographer who began Wander Hour as a way to catalog her travels. Today, she covers life in Hawaii, shopping, traveling and more.
Whew! I honestly feel like I could go on all day about all my favorite bloggers and blogs to read for inspiration in all parts of my life. It’s safe to say that blogging has completely expanded and changed over the course of the last 7 years when I began.
