Happy Thursday, everyone! I hope you’re having a good week. Things have been kind of quiet around here and I’m not complaining – sometimes the quiet is a good thing! Today I’m sharing a little peek behind the curtain of our life with some super high quality iPhone snaps 😉 If you’re into that kind of thing, stick around!
Life Lately
If anyone else is on the Vital Proteins kick like I have been for over a year now (!), you’ll be pleased to know you can find the jumbo container at Costco for a fraction of the price as stores like Target and Amazon. Also, my Amazon orders always take a fortnight to arrive, so the gratification of being able to get it at Costco is very appealing to me! I was sharing this photo with my mom who inquired about the size, so I was using my (abnormally small) hand for comparison. Also, you may spy a case of Milkadamia in the background – it’s mac nut milk. Has anyone tried it? We snagged it at Costco, too, but haven’t gotten a chance to try it yet!
Does anyone else get on a music kick that you just can’t shake? I heard this song on the radio several months back after not hearing it for a long while and it’s been on heavy rotation in my workout playlist ever since. It’s a good one!
The other day I got a wild hair up my ass to rearrange the living room furniture. It was a total debacle that involved me thinking I could switch up the cable hookup (not so, as I learned), but in the meantime, Judy and Bill took it upon themselves to domineer the couch.
Bill has this awful habit of begging and it’s one that we have tried to break since he was a baby. It persists and no amount of us shooing him away or telling him to sit and stay (away from the table) convinces him to knock it off. All the while, Judy lays in her bed far from the table just watching him act like a total animal and wishing we would send this dog right back to where he came from 😉 In any case, he was DETERMINED to eat my burrito bowl the other day and it’s as if his face is saying “This is mine, right mom?”
Seeing Judy and Bill together and touching is a rarity simply because Judy is so independent. She doesn’t really like anyone to touch her, let alone Bill. So when I saw them sitting so nicely together the other morning, I had to snap a photo. I can’t get over how sweet they look here!
Dane and I were driving the other morning and out of nowhere this beautiful and vibrant rainbow popped up amongst the clouds and wet weather. It’s a definite perk to the rainy season we’ve been experiencing. I’ll take it, because we’ve also had not-so-hot weather and that is a WIN! (sorry to my friends currently experiencing arctic temps!)
Last Friday, Dane ran into our bedroom this morning before the sun was even up yelling “Kait, we have to get Judy to the vet!” and all of a sudden my heart started racing in the way where you can feel it thumping in your chest. Her face was swollen and her eyes were completely bloodshot, but thankfully our doctor assured us it was just an allergic reaction and she was on the path to recovery after some IV meds. While we waited for her at the ER, we realized that 2/1 marked 5 years since we flew to Maui to pick up sweet Judy Hanson! 5 years of keeping us on our toes, unconditional love + big attitude…wouldn’t trade it for the world!
If you follow me on Instagram or read about my body-altering workout, then you know my affinity for GlowBodyPT. I woke up Super Bowl Sunday with ZERO ambition to get my workout in. I was PMS-ing hard and could smell all the yummy snacks I had prepped in the oven, so my motivation to get a workout in ranked right beside getting a root canal. But I pulled up Youtube and got it done. I swear, those 8 minutes make me feel like a new woman. Cannot say enough good things about Ashley’s free program!
And after I got my workout in, I got to shower and put on my favorite baseball tee and watch that total SNOOZE of a game. Anyone else feel the same way? It was downright boring! Admittedly, Dane and I both loved all the first responder commercials and the Washington Post commercial blew it out of the water!
And that pretty much sums it up! Like I said — pretty quiet around these parts. What have you been up to lately??
