5 Things I Love Friday

Today I’m back with this week’s edition of 5 Things I Love Friday and while I don’t normally have a true theme, today I’m dishing on some friends who have written some total gems lately! July Pep Talk – Loved this post from Chelsea and when I read it on July 1st, I knew that it was exactly what I needed to get my month started on the right foot. I’m sharing it today because whether you’re reading it 7/1 or 7/31 — it will apply. Prepare to feel super motivated + ready to take on life!

A Headband Party – Ashley knocks it out of the park with every post she writes, but this one sang specifically to my heart. Anyone who knows me knows I love a good headpiece in the form of a band, wrap, bandanna…you see where this is going. I’m even pretty much on board with the hatband trend, so this round-up of this season’s trendiest head garland made me smile.

Does Balance Exist? – We’re all faced with the question of — is there really such a thing as balance? Kelsey dives deep in this one and I loved it for so many reasons, but not because she gives the answer we are expecting. It’s because she expands upon the concept of making choices, which I love. My parents always instilled in me that “life is about choices” and this post brings it home. 

Modern Love column – Are you reading this NYT column? My friend Kavita turned me on to it and it’s safe to say I’m hooked. The column itself catalogs all different types of relationships and how they impact lives. One recently that stood out is ‘Preparing My Family For Life Without Me‘. Every columnist featured presents their story in such a raw and genuine way, but this one stood out for a few reasons. It’s worth the read!

Dream Travel Adventure – My friend Kayla works for Smart Flyer and I love keeping up with her adventures. We have oddly been on a very similar travel schedule and she’s definitely someone to follow if you are interested in real travelers on Instagram. Anyway, I loved the piece she put out this week on her company’s page about the new Abercrombie & Kent private jet. It’s a totally pipe dream adventure, but man does it look amazing!
