My Amazon Prime Day 2019 Picks

Tomorrow is Amazon Prime Day. Are you ready? If you’ve been around here for any length of time, you know that Amazon Prime is LIFE for anyone who lives here in Hawaii like me. I’ve ordered everything from clothes to travel essentials, dog toys to camera gear thanks to the free two-day shipping deal (to note: it takes longer than 2 days in Hawaii, but the free shipping is well worth it, regardless of timing!). Having an Amazon Prime membership has changed the game for us here in terms of shipping, but it’s also amazing for groceries, photo storage, streaming and free Audible downloads. And — if you haven’t heard, Amazon bought Whole Foods, which just made shopping at the grocery store a little bit more affordable for us, too! So, let’s chat about Amazon Prime Day 2019.

What Is Amazon Prime Day?

First things first – you need an Amazon Prime account to shop so make sure to sign up for one of those before Prime Day goes down!  Signing up for a Prime membership works out to about $12 per month (the first 30 days are free if you want to give it a test drive!), or if you’re a student you can get 6 months free! In my mind, it’s worth it just based on the book orders I place alone, not to mention all the other goodies you can find. Another important thing to note is that sometimes Amazon puts Prime memberships on sale before Prime Day goes down (that’s how we signed up several years back) and we’ve been hooked ever since.

It’s hard to say what exactly will be included in the sale, but these are my Amazon must-haves for any time of the year, so I figured I could share them here in case anyone was in the market for some Amazon shopping. 

My Amazon Prime Day 2019 Picks

GoPro + Drone | These are two big ticket items, but they’re worth including, because Amazon Prime always does terrific deals on their electronics. If you’ve been in the market for either one, now is the time to capitalize!

Vital Proteins Sticks – I use these every single morning in my coffee and they are worth the cost. The plus side is that with these sticks, they’re great for traveling. 

Glass Spray Bottle – I ordered this double pack and have been making my own cleaning spray for a couple months. They work great with no leaking!

Casual Grey Maxi – I wore this dress all over Morocco and it’s a home-run. It’s perfect for traveling (worked especially great since I was in a conservative country) and I can foresee myself getting quite a bit more wear out of it. It’s comfortable and the sides can be tied up for a more fashionable look. 

Wireless Charging Mat – I gifted this to Dane a few years ago for Christmas and it works just as well as it claims. It’s a great way to charge your devices without the hassle of a ton of cords. 

Statement Earrings – THESE EARRINGS ROCK! I gave them to all my friends two Christmases ago.

Essential Oils Diffuser – We have 4 of these throughout our  house and they diffuse so well! They also make great gifts.

T+ L Magazine Subscription – This is my go-to for a good gift that is out-of-the-box. If your loved ones aren’t into travel, consider another magazine. As more and more things go digital, there is something so special about holding a glossy. 

Spornette Teasing Comb – I have used this comb for years. I looked on my Amazon records and it says I ordered it in 2010, which means I was still in college. It works SO well and obviously lasts. 

NATIVE Sneakers – You know my love for these plastic sneakers runs deep. They are super versatile, shockingly comfy and you can clean them in your dishwasher. How do you beat that?

Wireless Earbuds – Dane wears these earbuds and says they are the best ones on the market. Who am I to argue a man who wears them all day? 

Packing Cubes – You’ve seen me power through weeks worth of packing in a single bag and there’s no way I could do it without the magic of packing cubes. If you’re a traveler and you’re not using these, what are you waiting for? More options here and here.
