Happy Hump Day! I’m so excited to be linking up with Anne for her monthly Currently series! If you have absolutely no clue what I’m talking about, pop over to her site and take a peek around — you WILL NOT be disappointed ? I love, love, love this series and today I’m joining her and some of the fabulous faces who frequent her internet space for this month’s Currently, which covers what I’m currently reading, enjoying, finding, tasting, and saving.

READING

Right now I’m reading “The Immortalists” since it was gifted to me by my friend Julie. I like it, because it’s probably not a book I would have picked up on my own, but it has some mystery that keeps me interested.

ENJOYING

THE SUNSHINE! It rained for darn near 10 days straight on Oahu and it had me feeling a bit testy. I know that seems like hardly any time at all, but when you’re based in a place that 95% of activities are based outside, you definitely start to feel the weather doldrums creep in. I’m thankful the sun is back out and there have been limited clouds!

FINDING

The joy in the little things. We had a weekend full of ‘life stuff’ last week and for whatever reason, I went to sleep on Sunday with the stupidest grin on my face feeling like it was one of the best weekends we’ve had in awhile. We did normal things, but there is something special about finding happiness in the ordinary isn’t there?

TASTING

I know it’s the summer time, but we can’t get enough of the famed New York Times “The Stew” recipe. It’s a chickpea based soup that was made famous this summer, then went viral on the internet for reasons I can’t explain without letting you taste it for yourself. It’s a delicious flavor, which always kind of shocks me given the limited ingredients. It’s a must make!

SAVING

Money! Dane and I are saving up for quite a few adventures this fall and spring, so it’s time to reel it in on the purchases that fall under “want” not “need”.

What about you — have you tried NYT #TheStew (searching that hashtag on social will give you serious food envy!? What are you saving? What are you reading? Tell me everything!
