TGIF! Hopefully everyone had a fantastic week! Today I’m back with this week’s edition of 5 Things I Love Friday were I’m dishing the movie we watched this week that was surprisingly captivating, a new fitness route I’m debating diving head first into, the nut milk that goes into all my recipes lately and more. Let’s dive headfirst into this week’s list, shall we?
5 Things I Love Friday
Hotel Mumbai – Have you watched this movie? Dane and I stumbled on it the other night on Hulu, watched the preview and were immediately hooked. I was embarrassed to admit that I couldn’t recall this when it happened 2008. In any case, the movie is very well done and I would recommend it to anyone who is interested in movies made from real events.
Peloton spin bikes – Okay, so these are not new to me, but I had honestly forgotten how much I loved them since I use some pretty worn spin bikes at my home gym. During my trip to Maui last week, I had the opportunity to do a sunrise ride one a Peloton at the Andaz and fell in love all over again. I get the hype, people, and it’s not just because I had someone clapping for me through a screen. If only they weren’t so dang expensive to ship out to Hawaii (yes, I’ve checked…ha!).
Milkadamia – Are you a nut milk kind of person? We are! We use a boat load of coconut milk in this house for all different sorts of recipes. When we discovered Milkadamia at Costco, we decided to roll the dice and buy some. Of course it’s Costco, so we weren’t just buying one, we were buying 6. Luckily, we LOVED it. In fact, we use it just as much as coconut milk now (except curry – you’ve got to use coconut milk for curry and that’s a hill I’ll die on). But Milkdamia definitely has a good thing going here and it’s worth the try if you’ve been holding out!
BelowDeck Med – Everyone has a guilty pleasure show, right? Please say yes and make me feel better. I don’t know how or why we started watching the saga of Captain Sandy and her crew, but here we are…devoted streamers of the show. It’s reality T.V. show at its finest – drama, drama, drama! Sometimes it’s good to zone out, yes?
Getting off Oahu – Yes, you read correctly. I’m getting off Oahu! Only for a few weeks, but it’s the breath of fresh air I need. The island breezes don’t cure everything, so I’m hoping a big dose of family time will 🙂
