The Amazon Nightgown Dress Everyone Is Talking About

If you’ve been on Instagram this summer, you may have noticed there was a certain bohemian dress taking the internet by storm. Dubbed the #AmazonNightgown by Grace Atwood earlier this summer, it’s a flowy dress that, yes, looks a bit like a nightgown, but is probably one of the most comfortable dresses I’ve ever owned. Today I’m sharing all the details behind the Amazon dress and if it’s worth investing your time (and money) to get one!

As soon as Grace posted it, I was sold right away and ordered it, because I liked that it was flowy, colorful and I figured I could throw a jean jacket over it for a mainland trip I have coming up this fall. I think that many people found it to be a little frumpy and I even saw some not-nice comments about it, but whatever – I liked it and I’m the one that had to wear it…

As it turns out, a lot of people felt like me and the internet went WILD. The dress went viral and suddenly most sizes of the (now famous) Amazon Nightgown Dress were sold out! WHO KNEW?! 

This kind of makes me laugh, because I am not what most would consider trendy. In fact, I can’t really even tell you what’s “in” right now, so the fact that I have something that is trending makes me LOL. Either way – it’s a dress that I get so many compliments on every dang time I wear it and when I posted this mirror selfie on Instagram last week, I got more DMs than I think I ever have!!

I recently took it on a press trip I was on to Maui and the other gals I was traveling with kept wanting the details. They were pretty dang shocked to hear it was less than $30 and from Amazon, especially since the quality is good, it’s not see through and it actually looks exactly like it does online. 

The good news is that the dress keeps getting restocked periodically so if you find a color you like and your size is sold out, keep checking back. I ordered Lightgreen in a size small and it fits really well, but I do suggest hand washing it. 

And all this Amazon dress talk has me thinking I might want to order another one…
