Is The Maya Brenner Necklace Worth It?

About once a week I get a question in Instagram stories about the initial necklace I always wear. It’s a Maya Brenner Designs double-initial necklace and it’s hands down one of my favorite pieces of jewelry I own. I don’t wear a ton of jewelry to begin with (I’m pretty picky), so trust me when I say that I do really love my Maya Brenner! In fact, I haven’t taken it off since Dane gifted it to me for my birthday in 2018. If you’ve been on the fence about investing in a Maya Brenner necklace, I’m sharing all the details of why I love mine today + if I think the price tag is worth it.

Why I Love My Maya Brenner Necklace

First things first – I have the double initial, 14k gold necklace, but there are single initial and triple initial options too. You can also get numbers and a handful of different shapes!  

It seems obvious, but the necklaces are completely customizable, so you can create one to symbolize just about anything. Additionally, if you own a necklace and decide down the line you want to add a letter or number, you can do that, too! Maya Brenner Designs (necklaces, rings and bracelets) come in gold, silver and rose gold colors.

They’re high quality. I mentioned above that I haven’t taken mine off since it was gifted to me for my birthday in January 2018.

I swim, shower, sweat, sleep, travel and exercise in my necklace and it still looks just as good as the day I got it. It’s comfortable, doesn’t itch my neck or get tangled (the length helps with that) and is such a simple necklace that goes with just about any outfit.

Since it’s 14k gold, the necklace itself is pretty sturdy, too. Three weeks ago, you may have noticed my necklace went missing from my neck. That’s because Judy jumped to give me a hug and her dewclaw snagged the chain of my necklace. The chain didn’t snap, but it stretched down to my chest.

I thought I was going crazy, because I was like…did this necklace just grow?! 

This brings me to my next point — Maya Brenner’s customer service. I e-mailed their team right away to explain what happened. With proof of original purchase, they were able to repair my necklace and ship it right back to me! I was majorly impressed. 

Is The Maya Brenner Necklace Worth The Cost?

The #1 question I get is — is the Maya Brenner necklace worth the cost? Yes, 100 times over — yes. It’s the only necklace I have ever owned that I can wear non-stop, doesn’t irritate my neck and compliments nearly everything I wear. It’s a major bonus that I was able to customize it!

One thing to note is that during holiday seasons, Maya Brenner does tend to sell out of certain styles/letters pretty quickly and there is a cut-off for custom shipments, so if you’re gifting, order as soon as you can!
