5 Things I Love Friday

You guys, it’s been WAY TOO LONG since I popped in here with 5 Things I Love Friday. I love this series, so each week I really do try to get one up, but it just hasn’t been happening for one reason or another. I won’t apologize (real talk: I’ve been enjoying living my life outside this space!), but I will do my very best to be better in the new year with more frequent posting. Let’s get right into what I’m loving this week, which includes friends, ear-sick pups, a pom pom frenzy and more!

5 Things I Love Friday

Dinner With Friends – On Tuesday night, we were invited to dinner at our friend Dom’s house and he cooked a delicious shrimp curry. It was a really spur-of-the-moment type event and very casual, but it felt good to get out of the house on a weeknight and shake up our routine. It helps that he also made a delicious daiquiri and had my personal favorite, a veggie tray appetizer. 

Dog Health – Our dogs are finally seeing the light after what seems like an endless ear infection…for both of them! What started as Bill scratching his ears nonstop, getting treatment and then a second  treatment, turned into Judy rubbing her head against the carpet and shaking her ears, which led to a treatment and then a second treatment. Both pups head back to the vet for their third AND FINAL treatment next week and I’m so relieved. Getting them to/from the vet is a little bit crazy, so I’ll be grateful to see the end of this process.

Holiday Visitors – We are having friends visit us over Christmas and I am so stinking excited I could burst! We haven’t had holiday visitors in quite a few years, so this feels really special, and we have plans to share all our favorite island spots with them.

Pom Poms – This will come as absolutely no surprise to anyone, but pom poms have taken over my house and my Christmas presents. I’m not mad about it! Here’s how to make a yarn pom pom 🙂

Frame Dupe – Have you seen these frames from West Elm? I have loved them for a long time, but couldn’t quite stomach the cost for a photo frame. So, when I stumbled upon this dupe for a fraction of the cost, I was SO EXCITED! They arrived last week, I hung them on the walls this week and I’m loving them so far!
