It’s the most wonderful time of the year! And while I know that so many of us are relaxing or spending time with family, or heck — just trying to decompress before 2020 hits, I wanted to stop and take some time to talk about all the blog posts and articles I’ve read this year that have really struck a chord with me.
Blog Posts I’ve Loved This Year
The internet is a big, big place and sometimes the amount of information I consume on a daily and weekly basis is staggering. I’m a self-professed news junkie so I tend to dive head first into any headline (news-based or not) that grabs my attention. I will also be the first to admit that in a rapidly expanding blogging world I feel like there is a lot less creativity than there once was, so standing out is impressive. Today I’m sharing blog posts I’ve loved this year, so feel free to stick around if you’re interested in blog posts I loved this year 🙂
Chelsea from Making Home Base wrote a poignant farewell letter to their home before moving and I think tears pricked my eyes. It’s highly relatable for anyone who has ever experienced a bittersweet move.
Jess Ann Kirby shared a worthwhile read on dealing with rejection.
Anne from Anne In Residence never disappoints with her thorough city reviews and Copenhagen In Summer has me itching to visit..at any time of the year!
I love finance posts, so when Erica at Whimsical September shared why they stopped using a credit card my interest was definitely piqued. Lots of good discussion in the comment section, too!
Chelsea from The Girl Who Loved To Write on why we shouldn’t look away when our friends are drowning.
A Cup of Jo always comes in hot with some good essays and I loved Life Advice For My College-Bound Daughter — highly relatable!
Following Ashley of One Fine Day is a delight for the graphics alone, but then she goes ahead and does a Color Study in my favorite hue.
Kelle Hampton on Lessons Learned From Sidewalk Chalk.
Gray Malin’s guide to The Best Places To Solo Travel.
Are you keeping a travel diary? I wasn’t, but Katie from Katie Show Blog inspired me to get going with one and I loved her 21 Thoughtful Travel Diary Prompts.
Lauren Conrad often has some good reads and I enjoyed 9 Posing Tips from a Professional Photographer (It’s Valerie Darling and I LOVE her work!). Spoiler alert: We all have a good side.
