TGIF! I’m back this week with another round of 5 Things I Love Friday and this week’s assortment is a good one filled with equal parts articles I loved and products I’m coveting. Let’s hop right to the good stuff….
5 Things I Love Friday
I hope the internet doesn’t explode when I admit this, but — I’m not the biggest Taylor Swift fan. ::backs away slowly:: That said, I just saw Netflix is debuting a documentary about her and after watching the preview on her IGTV it’s safe to say I’m very intrigued. I’ll definitely be watching! What are your thoughts on the songstress – yay or nay?
Does anyone else read Refinery 29’s Money Diaries series? I’m always very intrigued about how people earn and save, so the series speaks to me. I was fascinated by the 26 year-old underwriter who pulls in $180k in NYC.
My friend Casey gifted me a pair of leather espadrilles for Christmas and after finally muscling through a break-in period, they are my go-to shoe. They are SUPER COMFORTABLE (they do require a bit of breaking in) and I find them to be supportive, because the espadrille is a platform. I would recommend going a half size up (I’m typically an 8.5 and got a 9), but they go with dang near everything!
Are you using Swagbucks? It’s one of the ways I earn free gift cards all year long just by activating it when I shop (online and in stores). There are other ways to earn, but I just got sent a $50 gift card to Amazon (just based on points I’ve accrued in the last 3 or so months) and it’s top of mind. You might remember it from a popular post I did awhile back How To Make Extra Money For The Holidays! In any case, it’s a good one for year round!
I have a slight confession to make. Until two weeks ago, I had been wearing the same underwear since high school. Look, I know that sounds weird, but the thing is — there was nothing wrong with it until around last fall. I noticed the fabric was starting to tear, they were most definitely faded and it was just…time. Ya know? I’m 31 now…it’s time for an upgrade. I browsed selections at Target and Aerie before finally landing on the holy grail of seamless underwear! Now, I want to replace every pair in my drawer, but that is not realistic. I did the 10 for $35 deal and was able to mix and match styles. They get a 100/10 from me in comfort, sizing, seamless-ness and washing!
Happy weekend, everyone!
