Who doesn’t love a skinny margarita as the sunny months approach? Thankfully I live in Hawaii, so I always have the ideal weather for taste testing new recipes 😉 In any case, I wanted to come up with a new La Croix cocktail recipe since my Skinny Coconut Margarita is so well loved. This Skinny Tangerine Jalapeno Margarita is the perfect blend of tart, sweet and spicy — basically all the things I love most in a well-made cocktail.

Skinny Margarita Recipe
For the jalapeño flavoring and spicy factor, I used my own DIY Jalapeño Tequila. Using this method, you can add as little or as much as you want for a stronger and spicier drink!
La Croix Cocktail
For the tangerine sweetness, I used Tangerine La Croix. It might be my favorite flavor of La Croix right now – something about it just tastes so refreshing. I was a lime girl for a long time and I think I burnt myself out!

For the tart flavor, I turned to lime juice. Admittedly, I didn’t have fresh limes for this recipe, so I used pressed lime juice, but I think fresh would be better and more sour.
To recreate this skinny margarita on your own, you will need:
1 can Tangerine La Croix
1 fresh lime, squeezed (or about two squeezes of pressed lime juice from a bottle)
1 shot jalapeño tequila
Pour all of your ingredients into a tumbler, mix and enjoy. This cocktail is seriously SO simple, but tastes delicious. If you find that this drink just isn’t sweet enough for you, I would recommending a dash of simple syrup. Just know that by doing that it won’t be skinny anymore, but no doubt still very delicious 🙂
