Looking for outfit inspiration for your slip-on sneakers? Today I’m sharing 4 ways to style Rothys sneakers!
In my full review post of Rothy’s, I promised a post on how I style my Rothy’s slip-on sneakers and I wanted to make good on that promise! A dear friend of mine Maxine is an amazing local photographer here in Hawaii (MaxSnaps Photography) and took all the photos for this post. I wanted to give you all something a little more than mirror selfies and she totally delivered!
If you are a Rothy’s lover like me, you know that they come in a variety of styles. I wear the slip-on sneaker style in Camo Cat, and leopard is TOTALLY a neutral if you ask me. For more details on why I love the sneakers specifically, be sure to read my Rothy’s review.
4 Ways To Wear Rothy’s Sneakers
If you’re interested in your own pair of Rothy’s you can get $20 OFF your first pair. It doesn’t have to be sneakers, either. You can choose from flats, loafers, flip flops, boots and more! Now let’s get down to the outfits, shall we?
Rothys Sneakers With Jeans
Okay, so this one is probably pretty obvious, right? Slip-on sneakers with jeans is my go-to look and probably how I wear my Rothy’s most often. Jeans or shorts, especially here in Hawaii. Believe it or not, I wear jeans pretty frequently here, so this is a really easy outfit and the top doesn’t have to be neutral!
For so long, I struggled with the jeans with sneakers look, but slip-on sneakers are the way to go (at least in my opinion). I wear jeans with Rothy’s and Native Sneakers all the time!
Leopard Sneakers With Shorts
Sneakers and shorts, especially something other than workout-style shorts, is another look that might make you hesitate, or maybe that’s just me, but it totally works with slip-on sneakers. If I’m running errands or on my feet longer than an hour or so, I need something a little more supportive than my usual flip-flops.
While I styled these with jean shorts and cropped tank, I think it would be equally cute with a pair of black paper bag-style shorts and a fitted tank tucked in for a dressier option.
Rothys Sneakers With A Dress
If you have followed any of my travels in the past, this outfit probably looks very familiar to you. It’s one that is always in my suitcase, because it’s just so easy. A long maxi dress with a chambray top is a pretty one-size-fits-all to any type of tourism. I’ve worn it during some of our more conservative travels where my shoulders needed to be covered to visit temples, as well as more relaxed adventures (like wine tasting).
The sneakers aspect of this outfit is an absolute must, because traveling with the Hanson family typically means 30k steps per day. While my Rothy’s have not left Hawaii yet, I know they’re going to make an ideal suitcase addition.

Rothys Slip On Sneakers With A Jumpsuit
If you know me, you know my love for jumpsuits and rompers runs DEEP. I have an entire section dedicated to them in my closet – they’re just so easy! An all in one outfit and the one pictured below has become a recent favorite. For starters, it’s made of a wicking material and has more of an ‘active’ vibe. It works so well with Rothy’s on its own, but a jean jacket would be a great touch for all my friends in a chillier climate than Hawaii 😉
To be honest, this post was majorly stepping outside the box for me! A fashion model, I am not, but I know for me personally, it helps when I can see how someone else wears the item and it gives me ideas for how I can recreate the look from my own closet without going out and spending a ton.
Now let’s chat – do you have Rothy’s? Which style? I’m debating a second pair and need help deciding!
