5 Things I Love Friday

This week has absolutely zapped me of energy and two days in a row I woke up well before 5AM to work, which means not only am I excited for a 3-day weekend, I’m starting up a marching band to welcome it with open arms. Here’s what I’m loving this week…in addition to sleeping in tomorrow 🙂 Happy Friday!

5 Things I Love Friday

Having two Labradors, it will come as zero surprise that our dogs really love to swim. That said, I rarely actually get in the water and swim with them. Last weekend, Dane and I spent the day at the beach ourselves and then decided to take them swimming at golden hour. We already had our swimsuits on, so I got in with my camera and got some of the sweetest shots!

Cleaning Gel – Is there anyone else that feels like deep cleaning is catharsis? When I saw this cleaning gel, I immediately became transfixed by the idea of not only doing my keyboard, but my car vents, cup holders, and the stupid slatted doors we have on every freaking closet in this rental. Has anyone tried this yet?! Surely 13,000 Amazon reviewers can’t be wrong….right?

I got to relive my childhood writing about the best kid-friendly Halloween movies and I learned a ton by writing about foster care. 

This time of year has me brainstorming all the cookies and baked goods I want to make for the holidays. I recently placed a pretty big Amazon order for some new baking supplies and I’m so excited for it to arrive. 

Tie Dye Shorts + Top – I discovered these at Target and have pretty much worn both the shorts and top every single day since. Don’t worry – I DO wash them, but they’re so comfortable the bright colors make me so happy. I sized up to a medium in the shorts, despite what the reviews say about sizing. I got the top in a large, because my store didn’t have anything smaller, but I love how roomy it is, so it works out okay. I’m already plotting what colors to get next, since Dane affectionately refers to it as my “suit” 😉
