I hope today’s post finds you healthy, safe and maybe even smiling. How the heck is it October already? I’m so excited to be linking up with Anne for her monthly Currently series. If you have absolutely no clue what I’m talking about, pop over to her site and take a peek around — you WILL NOT be disappointed I love, love, love this series and today I’m joining her and some of the fabulous faces who frequent her internet space for this month’s Currently, which covers what I’m currently admiring, going, making, scheduling, and wishing. Here we go…
Currently
Admiring
A couple weeks ago, my dear friend Casey sent me a quarantine care package that included a delicious smelling soap from Bridgewater Candle Company. It was a new-to-me scent (Sweet Grace Collection), but I can tell you that I haven’t stopped sniffing that soap for weeks now. I’ve got my eye on the entire collection now…swoon! Additionally, admiring all the beauties in Madewell’s new fall collection. While I don’t necessarily pine for a sweater, I have fallen in love with Madewell jeans this year and plan to add a new pair or two to my collection. I also have my eye on these adorable dotted booties!
Going
A little bit nutty, does that count? 😉 In all seriousness, we have been going on daily sunset walks with the dogs, going to pick up takeout as often as we can to support local businesses, and FINALLY going to the beach! The restrictions were lifted two weeks ago and we can actually sit beside one another now, which is refreshing. For awhile, you couldn’t even sit with members of your same household at the beach, so even though we are still banned from gathering with friends, it’s something and I’m grateful.
We also got to sit outside for drinks recently at a restaurant, which felt like such a treat! Tourists are supposed to arrive back to Oahu on October 15th and since we are trying our best to limit exposure, this is likely a short-lived delight for us, so we certainly are enjoying it while we feel comfortable.
Making
We have been making tons of wraps lately. It’s probably not as enticing for folks who are enjoying fall weather and craving hot meals, but for those of us in warm-all-year locations, wraps fit the bill 365 days per year. I discovered coconut flour wraps at Costco and they are delicious! So far we’ve done Caesar salad wraps, buffalo cauliflower wraps, roasted vegetable wraps with hummus, and breakfast burrito wraps. So, so tasty!
Scheduling
Blog posts. My work schedule from now until the end of the year is chaotic at best. By the time I get to the end of the day, blogging is not a top priority, so I’ve been trying to schedule out posts as far in advance as possible when I get a few minutes here and there. Is there anything in particular you’d like to see?
Wishing
That one day soon I get to hug my parents. It’s been over a year and my heart is just heavy.
What are you admiring, going, making, scheduling, or wishing?
