Iceland Travel: Drone Photography

Dreaming about Iceland travel? Our Iceland vacation was amazing and today I’m sharing some drone photography I finally had a chance to edit!

If you read any of my Iceland recap posts, you know that we had the best time. We went with some of our very best friends Eric and Casey and spent a full week traveling throughout the beautiful country.

We flew into Reyjavik, rented a car, and took it from there! We did have a rough outline of what we wanted to see and do during our trip, but we sort of went where the wind carried us. Isn’t that the best way to do it?

One thing that is super important to note about Iceland is that the climate, landscape, and weather is constantly changing. I’m not kidding — you can be driving in an absolute ice storm and suddenly you’re driving amongst green hills in the sunshine. It was the craziest thing I’ve ever experienced.

We had to be super careful when and where we flew the drone, because one swift wind would have carried right off any mountain/waterfall/cliff and we would have never seen it again. You’ll notice how moody the weather is in nearly every photo!

Traveling To Iceland

I cannot say enough good things about Iceland and even though we were there for a week, we didn’t even make a dent in what there is to see and do. It’s such a beautiful country and we cannot wait to go back one day!
